#181 Foo DSD Converter Freezes Foobar2000 V2

When I right click in 'Album List' on a large folder, Foobar2000 freezes and gets inresponsive for several minutes before the context menu is shown.
I first thought this was a bug in Foobar2000 itself, but this only happens when Foo DSD Converter is installed in Foobar.

This can be reproduced:

• In Foobar2000 V2 64 bit
• Album List in folder view
• Right click on (large) folder. Preferably the Root Folder.

Unfortunately yes. Still the same problem in Foobar2000 V2.1 64 bit.

Can't reproduce. for both x86 and x64:( Have you tried x86?

No I did not test it in x86. I have only Foobar2000 V2.1 x64 installed at the moment. But on my side it is easy to reproduce. It only happens with Foo DSD Converter installed and right clicking on a large folder in the Album List It works fine when right clicking in a playlist. It seems that Foo DSD Converter is sequentally going trough all the selected tracks/records in the Album List before the context menu is shown, freezing Foobar in the process. The lenght of the freeze can be seconds to minutes depending on how many files are selected.

It does go through all the tracks to see what items are DSDs or can be converted to DSDs. I've deactivated this functionality. Please try this one, it's in interim folder.

Thank you for the reaction. The interim version (0.2.3-1) solved the problem. The freeze is over and the context menu shows immediately now.

I'm getting this error with V. 0.2.5 on FB 1.6.16 and 2.1b x64 (W11x64):
Failed to load DLL: foo_dsd_converter.dll
Reason: This component is missing a required dependency, or was made for different version of foobar2000.
V. 0.2.4 works fine.

EDIT:
Tried it on another PC but with W10x64 and get same error

I get a blank "DSD Convert Result" pop-up window and nothing happens but it doesn't throw the error when I start FB

Have you tried to choose any output path?

I had typed the output path manually but now I selected the path with the mouse and it works, go figure....

Thank you for pointing out this issue with the output path. I've changed cosmetics slightly in 0.2.7:)
