Hi, I have asked sourceforge to be made administrator of this project because it seems rather inactive and I could not contact Scott Blood. They did that at the end of June but never told me about it, so I only found out today by pure chance. What I want to do is this: * Put the project into maintenance mode, that is it will no longer be actively developed. Only bugfixes and changes necessary to update to newer Delphi versions will be done. Since most of the rxlib components have been added to the JVCL I don't really see any point in continuing development, but I am probably not the only one who still uses it in his projects, so dropping it all together is not an option. * Put the latest sources into the subversion repository on sourceforge (apparently neither the CVS nor the subversion repository contains any code. * Drop support for Delphi 1 by renaming all units to rx*. Users of Delphi 1 - if there are any left - can still use the old sources. Users of Delphi >6 will already have noticed that there are name conflicts with existing Delphi units, e.g. StrUtils. Adding a prefix will fix that problem once and for all. Since I apparently cannot modify the mailing lists, I will either have to live with that and continue using the one that is there (I hope it hasn't devolved into a spam tool yet) or try and add a new one (once I have figured out the sf.net interface for that). I would like to hear from you if you are still interested in rxlib. regards Thomas Mueller |
