The SGB Software monthly update news letter #1 Well this month has been a very strong and very long month for all of us here at SGB Software. We recently completed a conversion of the Rx Library to C Builder 6 and also started work on converting the library for other languages such as Java and Visual Basic (What a task this is going to be). We have had an over whelming response on our website and personal wishes of thanks for our continued work with the Rx Library. At the time of writing this letter we had over 80,000 hits on our website since Christmas which is excellent. The more visitors we get the more interest we can stir up from possible investors or advertisers. ***Server Update*** We have just acquired 2 new rack mounted hosting servers for use on our website and will be changing from our current hosting provider to our new provider who are based much closer to home in the central of London. These servers increase our bandwidth from 2GB a month to 8GB a month which means we can now start hosting our downloads locally. This however, will mean that our servers will be shut down from Saturday the 19th April till the following Monday, 21st April to allow our IP Tags to propagate the internet. We apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. DONATIONS Over the past 2 months we have received cheque payments and requests to send payments to us for the use of the Rx Library. We must emphasise to everyone that the Library is FREE, which means no payment is necessary for anything :). However, a number of people have suggested we donate this money to a selected charity. We have decided we will send this to the Royal Manchester Children's hospital for sick children. Does anyone think it would be a good idea to set up a donation account for others to make donations if they so wish. Email <mailto:sc...@sg...> us with your ideas or suggestions good or bad. Well that's really all the news for now, just remember the source forge project is always available. From there you can download the most recent sources to the Rx Library. The address to the source forge project is www.sourceforge.net and our group ID is 40944. Kindest Regards SGB Software Support |
