Hi fabrice! Hi evbdy! Good to have some news. As you probably already noticed... i do not have much time for RunningPlan... I was quite busy with my job (J2EE, Weblogic, LDAP and Struts) and with my search for a place in Paris (believe me... it was just terrible :s...). But now everything is ok... as I don't have access to the Internet at home I can't work on runningplan right now... but believe me as soon as I got it I'll be back with you ;). Hope everything is ok for you. Fabrice if you want me to do anything let me know even if i'll do it a bit later ;) Ciao! Tewfik From: "Fabrice PIERRE" <ffp...@ya...> To: <run...@li...> Date: Thu, 10 Mar 2005 22:41:50 +0100 Subject: [Runningplan-general] Again ... Hi all. I hope that everything turns round for you ! Here are some little news from runningPlan. The screenshot section in the sourceForge project contains some screens. The new plan's creation is now working for the first step (name, start date and duration). I'm working on it nowadays. I'm going to search for a java developer, so if you have time ... Anyway, I'm going to post a job. But do not hesitate ! I would like to forget translations for the moment. It tooks too much energy, and It's better to finish the software first. You can give me some news (some of you started with me more than one year ago). byebye ... Fabrice. Fabrice PIERRE http://sourceforge.net/users/fpierre/ http://runningplan.sourceforge.net/ |

Hi all. A new file has been released on the SF page. You can see on it the work done by Tewfik : the MAS Test. In this test, a runner runs 2 times 800m at 140 and 160 puls/min, and one time 2000m at his maximum, he records the times spent. This can help to find his max puls/min, and his training levels. This can also help to calculate a ration that indicates how the runner is able to maintain a rythm. For this, in the screen : - enter the distance, speed and puls for the 3 levels (an example is shown), - clic on "generate" to see the graph. This is a nice tool. Thank you very much. A login process is enable too. Bye, Fabrice. -- Fabrice PIERRE http://sourceforge.net/users/fpierre/ http://runningplan.sourceforge.net/ |

Hi all. Here are the last news ... Thank you for your replies. runningPlan's model is really downloadable from SF site & compilable. The webSite is managed by Daniel & Marcel. Please: - ask the Spanish translators for the missing spanish translations, - ask the Spanish translators and Kenneth for their short descritption for contibutor page, - modify the contibutor page with Kenneth, Daniel, Marcel, Jeison & JP's description (in english, in german and in spanish). I added the new login panel in the CVS repository. I'm going to add the login loading function based on the xml file (with saved logins). Kenneth, we are waiting for the toolbar with icons. Tewf, we are waiting for the CEWolf MAS test graph. -> Please can you tell us if you are working on it... Thank you very much. I think I will enroll a new java developer. Bye, have a nice week-end. Hi everybody. For those who wants to follow runningPlan, please, register the general list (James, Nee, Adi, Matt, Tewf, DaShaun). It's hard to maintain manually a list of correspondant. The first file has been released last week. I tested it on windows and linux systems, it seems to work if you have a JRE. I just released the business uml diagram on the cvs repository (very interesting, tell me what about the jpg file). It's hard to build a team ! We are here to help an idea. I know that some of yours are highly motivated. It's hard for me to understand what you are waiting for and what you can do. Remember that we are all here to learn and to work together. A java team is in construction, a translator team also. You have to understand that I'm waiting for help (java & website translation) nowadays. I have some time to help runningPlan those days, and I would like to know who can help me for the moment, how many time and on which kind of task. I'm searching for : - one or two java GUI developer (Kennantan & Marcel are here for the moment), - a website admin ( I asked Daniel yesterday, please Daniel answer me), if youcan do it, tell me, - one or two xml binding java developer (maybe Marcel), - one or two Spanish Translator ( JP & Jeison ? ), -one or two German Translator (Daniel & Marcel). I'm waiting for Tewf release on the MAS test drawing release, and for some older developers news (they helped us, some news are welcome!). Bye, tell me who is interested on which task. Please, remember that we are here to learn and to enjoy (for the moment, this mission is accomplished). Have a nice week-end. Hi Tewf and thank you. Internationalization work is coming too soon I think. We are just finishing the model and integration of resource blundels will be a little hard. Thinking about this is very very nice! That's where we have to go. Please Tewf, can you try to download the sf release file, unzip it in a directory, and try to compile it. Please, take care, it is not stable at all ! _/*Do it in a new directory !*/_ JFreeChart is a good choice, at work, we are using CEWof, based on JFreeChart. You can continue by this way... Can you tell which version and what jar are needed to compile runningPlan. You can send a zip file with the graphics when you want. Thank you /_*very*_/ much for your help ! Bye, Fabrice. Hi guys, after having some time now, I tried to get runninplan up and running from cvs, but even after fuddling around with my CLASSPATH I get errors, so can you send me a configuration example file, including important environment variables? The actual error is: somehost> javac RunningPlan.java <somedir>/runningPlan/src/net/sourceforge/runningplan/saver/AdminXMLSaver.java:10: package javax.xml.bind does not exist import javax.xml.bind.*; My environment: CLASSPATH=/home/runtema/software/software/runningPlan/src:/opt/SunJava2/jdk/lib/tools.jar:/opt/SunJava2/jdk/lib/dt.jar:/opt/SunJava2/jdk/jre/rt.jar PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/bin:/usr/games:/opt/gnome2/bin:/opt/gnome/bin:/opt/kde3/bin:/opt/SunJava2/jdk/bin:/opt/gnome2/bin JAVA_BINDIR=/opt/SunJava2/jdk/bin JAVA_HOME=/opt/SunJava2/jdk JAVA_ROOT=/opt/SunJava2 SET_JAVA_PL_RESULT=0 Thanks for advice and help, Greetings Marcel |

Hi evbdy! First welcome to newcomers ;)!!! Then sorry Fabrice but your guess was good... I have been quite busy recently and didn't have really much time for RunningPlan. Nevertheless I had some time to work on the MAS test graph computation. I'm using JFreeChart and this tool is just amazing!!! I'm nearly finished with this part of the work! I also fixed two "small" bugs... first one each time I lauched RunningPlan I had to resize the frame to have a correct display. This was due to a misplaced show() method but this problem is now fixed (at least I hope so). The second one affected the calendar... the display was not refreshed by clicking the next or previous button! Now it is! I'm also working on the internationalisation of RunningPlan using ResourceBundle and .properties files..IMO it should be done right now that the amount of strings is not too big... it could be really troublesome later! I'll release all changed or new files during the weekend! Hope everything is ok for you! If you have any comment or suggestions please let me know ;-) Kind Regards, Tewf fabrice wrote: > > Hi all. > > I want to welcome the new translators (JP, Jeison and Marcel). Hi all. I want to welcome the new translators (JP, Jeison and Marcel). With your help, runningPlan's website knows two new languages. Welcome to Kenneth who will help us with GUI (please, Kenneth, can you register this list). -> can you give me a short description as you can see on the contributors page ? The website is being translated. The new design suits me, what do you think about it ? I tried to deliver the first file this week-end, but it worked only on linux, so I erased the file, I'm going to try again those days. Like this, you will be able to run the model. runningPlan is becoming a real good project, thanks to you all (contributors & public). I'm still searching for one or two java / xml binding developers. I had two contacts, but I think they are still on holydays, lucky people ;-).
