I'm making next FW based on Wive-NG. It'll contain web-interface. I haven't decided yet about mesh in WiveFW (olsrd) to be implemented. But some alternative will be made.
In a few weeks I'll start new project about metro-wifi. I'll try to implement transparent network infrastructure with multiple AP connected to each other with same wlan or secondary interface (second wlan or ethernet). From client-side it'll be as usual 802.11 infrastructure.
