1. Open test library
2. Filter Test Area, QA Owner and Hits per page
3. Click "Filter"
4. Click on one hit
5. If you click on "Test Library" again all settings are lost.

But all settings should be stored so you do not have to specify "Test Area", "QA Owner" and "Show" again.

Workaround: use a tabbed browser, and rather than just click through to the details of a particular test then open it in a new tab - the original filter criteria are then retained in the existing tab.

I am not completely convinced that saving filter settings to the user session would necessarily be a good thing, unless they could be saved on a per-project (and for developers, on a per-project + per-RTH-instance) basis. Depending on how different browsers handle sessions for different tabs/windows, it is possible that undesired behaviour could result for users with simultaneous different filtered views running at the same time.

    some comments on this:
+ using a tabbed browser for this kind of thing is in my experience no good idea - it can happen that wrong tests are effected on update for example
+ if you switch between "Release" and "Test Library" for example the criteria is saved.
