#1472 Beaming of grace notes not respected
LilyPond export behavior does not mirror notation editor behavior. Document in notation editor has beamed 8th grace notes slurred to a quarter note. Export beamings, and these beamings are not exported. LilyPond doesn't produce them automatically either.
There is a code comment that says "Grace notes are not beamed" but this is false. They are by default, and they can be in LilyPond, so they should be beamed like anything else.
I don't know if this is legal notation, but Rosegarden does allow you to insert a series of beamed grace notes in the middle of a series of beamed notes, creating a beam within a beam. Handling that weird edge case is probably next to impossible, and the existence of the edge case may be why we never handled beams associated with grace notes in the first place.
Alternatively, I suppose we could disallow beaming grace notes in the notation editor to mirror what actually comes out on the LilyPond end. I'm not really advocating that, but it's another option.
Not sure I understand this one. I tried some beamed grace notes and it seemed to work OK - see attached image.

So, I tried this in 17.04 and it seems to work fine. Print preview looks right. See the attached .rg file. Also tried in master and works fine. Again, print preview looks right. So, either this was fixed, or we have no idea what the test case really is.
Unless we have further info, I vote to close.
Maybe a newer lilypond version ?

I presume the issue is related to beamed grace notes inside a beam.

It looks like a very marginal case we can probably live with.
That's the edge case in the third paragraph. We still seem to pass the main case in the first paragraph.
Unless we hear anything else, I think we'll close this one after the next build.

No noise. It was helpful to see that case illustrated. Feel free to add the .rg file for future reference. Might end up being a useful test case one day.
