Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Luca Garulli (lvca) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Divide Spring's applicationContext.xml in more files Initial Comment: Spring allows to divide configuration file in many sub-files. This will make things much more clear since any aspect/module may have own applicationContext.xml file. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=824593&aid=1693538&group_id=162641 |

Category: ViewAspect Group: None >Status: Deleted Priority: 2 Private: No Submitted By: Luca Garulli (lvca) >Assigned to: Luca Garulli (lvca) Summary: Google Web Toolkit support Initial Comment: The Google Web Toolkit (GWT) seems to be intended very famous. The idea is simple and powerful: convert POJO to JavaScript and execute it on the browser. The approach is quite different from Echo2, but both frameworks have some points in common. And here the idea: why don't use the best of both worlds? Creating the plugin for Roma, we should decide what POJO will be rendered with Echo2 (Client-Side + Server-Side) and what with GWT (Client-Side only). What do you think? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Luca Garulli (lvca) Date: 2007-03-30 16:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=75115 Originator: YES This module has no so much interest. Laszlo seems to be the best alternative since it renders as Flash and DHTML (JavaME in the future). Roma needs a Laszlo module. Ciao ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luca Garulli (lvca) Date: 2006-08-10 10:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=75115 Hi, yes, it would be a great idea to support SWT! We need a SWT View Aspect. Since now ROMA supports only Echo2 as plugin, I'm excited to see if the View Aspect interfaces are enought. It will be clear only when another view aspect will be realized. Let me know if you'd like to start this adventure, probably some developers might help into development. Luca Molino are developing a new plugin as the first one implementation of WorkFlow Aspect. The temporary name is workflow-pojo since not uses any external workflow engine, but uses simple POJOs and the Command pattern. Luca Molino hopes to release a working version for the next week. bye, Luca Garulli Blogging on: http://zion-city.blogspot.com http://www.AssetData.it http://www.RomaFramework.org - The new way to build applications http://www.OrienTechnologies.com - Light ODBMS, All in one JDO solution |

Luca Molino is the new committer of the Roma Framework project. He built some extensions to the Exego Social Network platform (developed in PHP) using Java5 + Roma: http://www.exego.it. Extensions allow the users to handle Rich HTML profile, multiple photo albums, songs and YouTube video. Now he is developing a CRM solution for an Italian customer entirely based on Roma Meta Framework. Before to release it he is releasing a very simple workflow engine based on Spring... Welcome aboard! Note: It's a real coincidence that the name of most people in the Roma Staff is Luca! Luca (Luke in english) is a quite common name in Italy, but not so much! bye, Luca Garulli Blogging on: http://zion-city.blogspot.com http://www.AssetData.it http://www.RomaFramework.org - The new way to build applications http://www.OrienTechnologies.com - Light ODBMS, All in one JDO solution |

Hi to anyone! Despite forum is much more attended than this ML, I want to write this post for the next release of Roma <Meta>Framework 1.0 RC1. In the meantime many improvements are developed in Roma. The latest one is the support for the Portlets! They are not JSR-168 portlets but just POJO that are rendered as seperated-independent boxes. You can move the portlets around your desktop ala Google Personalized Homepage. Each box lives independently from others. Very cool! I've adjusted the Roma Test Presentation demo application to use this feature. http://romaframework.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/Doc/Portlet bye, Luca Garulli Blogging on: http://zion-city.blogspot.com http://www.AssetData.it http://www.RomaFramework.org - The new way to build applications http://www.OrienTechnologies.com - Light ODBMS, All in one JDO solution |

Category: ADMIN Module Group: None >Status: Closed >Priority: 6 Private: No Submitted By: Luca Garulli (lvca) >Assigned to: Luca Garulli (lvca) Summary: Log management Initial Comment: It could be useful to access to the application logs. Usually they are readable by WebApp. Roma should parse log4j.xml file and know where logs are placed and to allow access by administrator user. In this way you can see logs without call system manager of your application in production contest ;-) Cool... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Luca Garulli (lvca) Date: 2007-01-26 01:50 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=75115 Originator: YES Implemented in SVN revision: 712 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luca Garulli (lvca) Date: 2007-01-26 01:50 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=75115 Originator: YES Resolved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=824593&aid=1644889&group_id=162641 |

Category: ViewAspect Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Luca Garulli (lvca) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Portlet support Initial Comment: Roma needs a easy way to create portal divided in multiple portlets. Each portlet should be configurable by the user. Should it support JSR 188 and next? Maybe. Surely not by first releases since it should be a very light smart solution using POJO only and new Ajax render modes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=824593&aid=1633539&group_id=162641 |
