*	Luigi Dell'aquila
*	Giordano Maestro

They will focus on the new "Tevere" module. Tevere is the big river that cut
the Roma city in two parts. Tevere module will be the main workflow
implementation with a Web GUI.

Very soon Roma team will release the first working implementation.

Sorry for delay on reponse. You can use the power of JDO 2 standard in =
Roma.
You can handle more objects in your method and commit anything in a
transactional fashion.

Example:

PersistenceAspect tx =3D ObjectContext.getInstance().getComponent(
"TxPersistenceAspect" );
Try{
  tx.createObject( new Employee() );
  tx.createObject( new Invoice() );
  tx.commit();
} finally{
  tx.close();
}

TxPersistenceAspect is the component declared in Spring's
applicationContext.xml file.

Now, if not explicited, Roma uses the
DefaultRenderingMode for components.

For example, to render an action by default it uses the
"button".

If I want to render every actions of my application as
"link", I had to set the view's feature render="link"
to every actions!!!

My original idea was to set by Spring the rendering
mode foreach type. But now my thought is to follow
inheritance as for other things (I18N, Styles, etc).

So...If I can define that only for my Blog class I use
always "links" to render actions and every Date field
should not watch the calendar but the date in a text
field, I should define something like this:

Blog.field.date = text
Blog.action = link

If I create my SuperBlog that extends Blog, then Roma
should:
- search for SuperBlog class
- if not found search for Blog class
- if not found use default (configurable too)

conducting into open source component licensing. The research is part of
my Doctorate of Business Administration degree at the University of
Newcastle, Australia, and is being supervised by Dr Len Whitehouse. The
research is entirely non-commercial, and full results will be made

research will offer useful information about how component licensing is
approached in practice.

We are looking for Java software developers who are working on either
commercial or open source projects. Participation in the research is

Participation will usually take less than 30 minutes. If you

Current JDO/JPOX aspect works always in detach mode. In few words it detaches entire object graph (following fetch plans).

We need a much deeper tuning avoiding detaching and benefit of JDO Lazy Loading feature.

It works. Use render = "tree" and your class had to implement Roma's
TreeNode interface.

sono molto interessato al progetto RomaFramework e sarei intenzionato a
collaborare attivamente nella realizzazione di uno dei moduli.
Potrei avere delle informazioni maggiori sui moduli che dovrebbero essere
implementati e sulle modalit=E0 di integrazione con il framework? Insomma,
tutte le info che mi dovrebbero servire per essere operativo. :)

Application Development). Roma is already a RAD, but what people ask is
something like a graphical IDE.

The Roma RAD idea could be as form of a Web Application itself (generated
with Roma, obviously) or Eclipse+NetBeans plugins. 

The RAD should have:
