#774 Java SE 6 required to run RODIN V3,4 on macOS High Sierra ?

after installing RODIN V3,4 on,a macbook pro I have also install this version 3,4 of RODIN on my Imac. When launching RODIN 3,4 the following message is appearing : "l'installation de l'ancien moteur d'exécution Java SE 6 est nécessaire pour ouvrir RODIN".
On the macbbok whose OS is the same i don't observe the same behavior...
why ?

    I installed then Java SE 6.
    When laucnhing RODIN 3,4, the following message is appearing :
    "Version 1,6,0_65 of the JVM is not suitable for this product - Version 1,8 or greatder is required"
    before I installed the last version of JAVA 1,8...

    Dear Paul, my guess is that the first message was produced by macOS because Java was not installed: Java 6 is the latest version that was directly supported by Apple. Since then Java is not supported by Apply anymore, but directly by Oracle.

    As concerns the Rodin platform itself, it requires Java 8, hence the second error message.

    I am sorry that the initial message from macOS is so misleading, but unfortunately I do not see anything I can do to have Apple change their message regarding the installation of Java.
