I'm using the Eclipse plugin in Linux. I found a solution elsewhere recommending: "The import statement "import static repast.simphony.essentials.RepastEssentials.*" prevents Groovy from generating the class-File. After removing the static-keyword it works for me. Note: After deleting "static" and before building you should uncheck "Repast Simphony Agent Build" in "Builders" in the project settings - otherwise your editing is overwritten by the repast builder." But this did not seem to change anything. Thanks. Category: Repast J Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: missing ESRIDisplay class Initial Comment: In "RepastJ.tar.gz" and "Repast.tar.gz" from the version 3.1, the "ESRIDisplay" class is missing from the ".jar" file. Hence, compiling fails while building projects with "ESRIDisplay" included. I checked the src code, and "ESRIDisplay.java" is there, but in the ".jar" file it is not included. So, I assume it is a bug in building the ".jar" file. And I haven't checked the ".exe" and ".dmg" distributions, so, I can't say for certain they have the same bug. Hope this helps. Hello, Here's the problem: I'm using repast J My model displays a Network2DDisplay with the DefaultGraphLayout. When I open a property window for a node (probe the node > inspect agent and then click the icon in the object browser), this node is then displayed in the wrong proprtions (higher and thinner). I've looked to the demos to check if it was the same: -The models JainModel and JinGridNewModelII have the same problem. -The models Jiggle and Rabbit Population don't. I've look at the code of those models (including mine) but couldn't find the difference. I've noticed that the first time the object property window was accessed, the height and width are 10 and 8. The other times they are 19 and 6. Is this a known problem? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Yohan |

It's great to see v1.0 of Repast Simphony! I downloaded everything and started to follow the tutorial, but could not get past the behavior parameterization of the "Watch for pressure change". According to the tutorial one has to "fill in" the string "infrastructuredemo.GasNode" in step 4.c. As mentioned before there is no step 4.c. I am guessing that step 4.d is meant, but that does not make it any better. While typing that string "infrastructuredemo.GasNode" into the "Please select a type..." dialog, one cannot find the class. It is just impossible to get that field filled properly. I even "hacked" the GasNode.agent XML file but this failed when I tried to "Run..." the model. Could you please provide some hints or bugfixes how to get the tutorial running? Thanks, a lot, Marcus Lunzenauer P.S.: One minor glitch: "Next, create a Network project by ..." should probably read "Next, create a Network projection by ...". As many know, Repast Simphony is a free and open source agent-based modeling toolkit that offers users a rich variety of features including the following: 1.) An optional point-and-click model development environment that generates Java classes and seamlessly integrates with hand written Java and Groovy components. 2.) A pure Java point-and-click model execution environment that includes built-in results logging and graphing tools as well as automated connections to a variety of optional external tools including R, VisAD, Weka, popular spreadsheets, MATLAB, and iReport. 3.) An extremely flexible hierarchically nested definition of space including the ability to do point-and-click and modeling and visualization of 2D environments, 3D environments, networks including full integration with the JUNG network modeling library, and geographical spaces including full Geographical Information Systems (GIS) support. 4.) A range of data storage "freeze dryers" for model check pointing and restoration including text file and database storage. 5.) A fully concurrent multithreaded discrete event scheduler.=20 6.) I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the AGENT2007 conference. The Repast Simphony workshop was informative, and the papers were engaging. =20 While at the conference, I had learned that the Repast team was working on integrating a distributed simulation package into Simphony, and it was not ProActive. I thought the name of the package was something like Terra Cotta or Terra Firma, but I might be wrong. Could someone remind me what the package is, and provide a link to the package's web site (if available)? =20 Thanks for your time. =20 =20 -- Tobin Bergen-Hill Lead Simulation Modeling Engineer, E526 tbe...@mi... 703-983-3759 =20 |

Excellent, thanks Mike..I thought this was the plan but couldn't remember. Sourceforge support for SVN seems really good now.
