I think this is more related to the fact that DTEND and DURATION need to be treated differently at times. Say you've got a lunch planned from noon to 1pm (DTEND). If you're running 30 minutes late, maybe your calendar system will shorten your lunch so that it's from 12:30-1. DURATION is different--- it's for events that take a fixed amount of time, for example, airplane flights. If the takeoff of your flight gets pushed back 30 minutes, but it has a DURATION of 2 hours, the calendar system should use that DURATION and not merely adjust the start/end time of the event. Yes, this is more a semantic issue than a functional one--- I think it's intentional that you can't use both at the same time. If you'd like to contribute some conversion code, that might be good. Also, I suspect that posting questions like this to reefknot-devel might result in faster responses, since more of the developers read it than read reefknot-users. srl -- Shane R.
