QuakeSpasm 0.93.1 Linux version. I have installed MP3 music ripped from my CD, placed in id1/music. Tracks are named track02.mp3 etc. The music starts when I type 'music track02' in the console but doesn't start when you begin a game or level. In the options, External Music is On, and music volume is turned up full. Messages in the console/terminal include this:
SDL detected 1 CD-ROM drive
CDAudio initialized (SDL, using /dev/cdrom)
CDAudio_Init: No CD in drive
With internal music disabled and an audio CD in the drive, QuakeSpasm recognises there's a CD but again doesn't play the music when you start a level.
What gives?

Thanks for replying. The file names are in lower case.
I typed developer 1 and started a game - the console messages don't mention anything about sound.
"That's most possibly because you don't have a cdaudio cable
connecting your cd/dvd drive to your sound card."
No, it isn't.
