Cropping front of clip moves whole clip forward slightly.
An Audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer

Cropping the start off the beginning of an audio clip by grabbing the front edge of the clip and moving the mouse to the right appears visually to move the rest of the clip forward slightly. The clip should remain completely still during this procedure. Workaround is to use automation to pan volume to zero up to the part of clip required.
.. Actually automation on gain volume also doesn't seem to have any effect - so not a good workaround.
the effect is merely visual: the graphic waveform is sampled on a 1k frame basis per polygonal point, so that should appear as an "visual artifact" when you trim or crop over the left edges of an audio clip--it's a known issue like there's always some worst case marginal error of 1k audio frames.
hth.
cheers
OK - thanks - would be good to mention this somewhere I guess. I'm happy to add to wiki if you advise me how.
But (probably unrelated) the audio clips sometimes get out of sync. Can't easily reproduce it though.
