Using as a serial terminal and it is very difficult to interact with windows to upload a file etc simply due to the DOS interface. It also frequently hangs in windows 7, so it is just about useless to me.

I've tried many others. This is my favorite because I can run the qodem-bin binary in any terminal emulator I like on my Mac, including Terminal.app and Cathode.app (for that retro feel). It has the features you need, like an address book and file transfers, and the ANSI graphics are spot on. I don't know why I didn't come across this sooner — perhaps because it's "abandoned" — but this is what I've been looking for all along. Cheers to the authors.

Looking for a Fedora Linux terminal program that could communicate through the POTS. I tried several before landing on Qodem. Does the job and more. Thanks.
