#26 Unnecessarily deep tree display
Subsequent series of branch&merge are unnecessarily displayed with increasing depth. For one project that I am observing (www.midnignt-commander.com) this happens very frequently and leads to very wide nesting even though everything actually could be displayed sequentially. (See attached screen shot.)
