SVG wallpapers rendering issues in TDE
Efficient, Rock Stable Operating System

SVG wallpapers are distorted in the TDE desktop.
Reproduce:
Set an svg wallpaper, for example "simpleOutlook-sunset.svg" and select "Scale and Crop" position.
Findings:
It seems, that TDE considers any svg wallpaper as a square, and scale it afterwards. Moreover, TDE doesn't scale svg properly as vector graphic, but does a pixel map re-scaling.
Code snipets responsible discovered so far:
tdebase .. kcontrol/background/bgdialog.cpp .. line 946 - 960
tdebase .. kcontrol/background/bgrender.cpp .. line 324 - 364
Anonymous
The major rendering issue has been fixed in tdebase_14.0.6-0debian10.0.0+0~a.3, however the connected issues persist:
The preview shown in the desktop configuration is not scaled correctly. This is minor since the wallpaper displays properly once "apply" or "ok" is selected, but it could cause confusion for users who may not know this.
Shadows and gradients do not display properly. Shadows are missing altogether in some cases, and gradients tend to display left to right without proper transitions. (Compare the svg versions as shown in Trinity to the png versions).
