No

Reproducible on plain Debian/Trinity installation, so we conclude upstream issue.

Reproduce on Q4OS:

  • Install Cinnamon DE along with Trinity using desktop profiler, login to Cinnamon
  • Run "sudo kdialog" or "sudo qrepoadd --gui"
  • Kdialog errors arise

Reproduce on plain Debian/Trinity, Cinnamon not needed:

  • Just run "sudo kdialog" in terminal and see errors

Likely the cause:
Tdm doesn't set XAUTHORITY environment variable, so sudo can't pass it to app's environment.
