Any user has to decide which application to install and what type of privacy information to submit. Q4OS system is very clean and minimal on it's base, and there is no hidden malware or spyware. It will stay the same regardless of the new Software Centre.

When Ubuntu software Centre was introduced they also allowed direct purchasing of non-free applications and they caused a big fuss on the internet as their software Centre sends information to third parties such as Amazon of a users purchase habits.
What i meant was will Q4os software Centre be doing a similar thing by sending a users purchasing clicks to 3rd parties?
Thanks.

Of course no. We haven't determined the exact purchasing model yet, but can surely say, the third-parties will have no control over the Software Centre. We want to keep strict rules for the purchasing process, the buyer will, most probably, make a payment to our account and we will settle up with the third-party on a contract base.

Updated with dist-upgrade and it worked. problem is and i think you guessed someone would mention it is that there are few apps available. All interesting i have already instaled via the desktop profiler and your apps on your website. looking forward to more updates and maybe catagoriezd options :)
And lastly read in another thread that you where going to make a manual on how to make you own Q4OS packages nice :) will there be in the guide how to convert tarballs to Q4OS packages ?
best regards

The Software Centre is in the first version now, and will be improved subsequently.
It's an interesting idea to create archives into installers converters, we will think about it.

You need no reinstall, everything should be automatically updated in 24 hours.
Is there a way to manualy initiate the automatic update ?
Yes, type in terminal:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
This new Software Centre option that allows direct purchasing of non-free applications
Will there be any privacy concerns like Ubuntu software Centre when they introduced purchasing?
