    Dear Q4OS developers,
    Great work!! I tested your Debian derivative with TDE and feels like home. I been using Linux since windows Vista appeared and used to be an XP fan. Now I cannot work without Linux and your distro fits wonderful in my current work with neuroimages.
    I just wanted to know how to change the icon theme. Specifically I wanted to try this one:

    Best regards and thanks a lot for your clean and tidy work.

    Is there a way to change icon theme in newer 1.1-RC2 version?
    I cannot find in "/opt/trinity/share/applications/tde" any hidden file which something similar to "style.desktop", "kthememanager.desktop", or "icons.desktop".
    Thanks, best regards.

    Edit corresponding '*.desktop' files, for example '/opt/trinity/share/applications/tde/icons.desktop' and comment out 'Hidden=true' entry. You will find corresponding shortcuts in Control Panel.

      WTF! why was this option hidden by design?

    WTF? Why hide this important setting?

      We have decided to remove themes and icons support to simplify things and preserve unified clear look for Q4OS. We are thinking about to add a 'TDE' profile into 'Desktop profiler', the full-blown Trinity desktop environment with original Trinity repositories and configuration.

    May I suggest an alternative would be to provide a simple script to make the hidden .desktop files visible to those who want them? Many of the KDE3 apps are out of date and run very slowly compared with their modern gtk counterparts so it's more a case of wanting to make the q4os environment a bit more homely without actually wanting all the trinity stuff??? Just a thought......

      The script will be added into the next Q4OS release.

    There is new Q4OS update with easy to use script to unlock hidden configuration items in control panel. First update system in terminal:
    $ sudo apt-get update
    $ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
    and run the desired script:
    $ sudo kcmodules --unlock
    You will find complete Trinity configuration options in control panel now.
