There are several easy installation scripts in Q4OS to install alternative desktop environments alongside Q4OS's default TDE, see documentation http://www.q4os.org/dqa007.html#dskenv
The available alternatives are KDE4, XFCE, LXDE and now LXQT. It's possible to have all these desktop environments installed and use the desired one.
LXQT is intended for users who want to test it, it's not in production state at the time. We would like to support LXQT as well as possible in the future.

The updates for current systems will be available later, in about a week.
