I don't know exactly how official the releases on http://www.osuch.org/python-ldap are, but for some reason pypi doesn't work for me and I would like to / has to use a .exe installer.

There is a license problem: The installer contains openssl dlls, but AFAICS it doesn't comply with the announcement clause of the openssl license, and distribution of the openssl dlls is thus not legal.

It would be nice if a note could be added to the python-ldap web pages and/or the README and/or LICENCE saying that python-ldap itself is MIT-ish but depends on openssl which has announcement clause.

Waldemar released updated EXE files to PyPI containing the OpenSSL license.
