    Dear all,
could you please explain me more in detail (and provide essential reference to equations in case) what the three Pycont class tolerance settings, i.e. VarTol, FuncTol and TestTol refer to?

    Thanks,

    M

They are all tolerances in tests for convergence of various algorithms.

VarTol is a measure of the desired lack of change of the norm of successive values in the target variables.

FuncTol measures the norm of the corrector's value in the predictor-corrector process of contiuation.

TestTol measures the norm of the bifurcation test functions during zero crossing detection.

    Thanks Rob!
this was really much needed (http://www2.gsu.edu/~matrhc/PyCont.html#head-19cd776572f6b5d770922aae0967b7ba52a7a6a4).
