Took me not too long to get it running [1] with libdmtx [2] on Debian GNU/Linux. This is a professional looking tool for a jump-start into the otherwise quite pricy world of matrix code handling software. The visualization works great, even if the output of decoded content could be better then with python-virtkey. It's just annoying to get any input field on focus filled with that output too when doing a live demonstration creating the codes on-the-fly. Anyway, that's great value for free software, that certainly contains a lot of know-how in digital image processing, that you may not get even from any commercial product.
