Dear Members of PWIZ, I've created an mzML0.99.12 with msconvert and an mzML_0.99.1 file using a ReAdW 3.5.4 binary: and tried to validate these files with the ProDaC on-line validator at http://eddie.thep.lu.se/prodac_validator/validator.pl I'm getting this message for both files: Local mzML requested, using v0.99.1 myraw.mzML failed validation XSD validator output: Reading schema from file Schema:mzML-0.99.1.xsd ERROR: 'cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'indexedmzML'.' cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'indexedmzML'. I also cannot read them in Insillico Viewer something that should ? My mzML files both contain in indexedmzML start and end tags I want to write software that somehow converts a RAW file to MZML/MZXML and filters from the MZML/MZXML file for a tandem/MS experiment information about the precursor ion fingerprints which is stored in: [Term] id: MS:1000512 name: filter string def: "A string unique to Thermo instrument describing instrument settings for the scan." [PSI:MS] is_a: MS:1000503 ! scan attribute And build a object tree from the precursors and finally build a fragmentation pattern. There is currently no software except MassFrontier and Xcalibur that can do this. The free R package XCMS is trying to do this but this is not succesfully done yet. So I want to learn which options I have do someone can advice me about my goals and also advice me how I could benefit from MzML? Thanx in advance M.
