Category: Core Group: v2.3.2 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Charles (libertytrek) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Modifying a users vacation as admin is not logged Initial Comment: Not sure if this bug belongs in core or not... When I enable, disable or just edit a users vacation message when logged in as admin, nothing logged. Editing the users personal details (name, etc) is logged... When I modify the users vacation when logged in as the user, it is logged, but there are TWO entries with a duplicate time stamp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Christian Boltz (christian_boltz) Date: 2011-03-06 22:52 Message: > Not sure if this bug belongs in core or not... PostfixAdmin is a small project - therefore you don't need to be too exact about the paperwork. The most important field in the tracker is the Group (version) field - often I don't even look at the Category field ;-) That said: - I just commited a fix to the 2.3 branch that adds the logging - valkum changed trunk to use VacationHandler, which means it uses the same code as users/ does - including the logging. The double logging is not fixed yet (and my fix in the 2.3 branch will also cause double logging), but there's another bugreport open for it (3148694) - therefore I'll close this one as fixed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=937964&aid=3148692&group_id=191583 |

Category: Core Group: v2.3.2 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Charles (libertytrek) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Modifying a users vacation as user is DOUBLE logged Initial Comment: Subject says it... When a user modifies their own vacation message, the admin log view shows a double entry with the same date/time stamp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Christian Boltz (christian_boltz) Date: 2011-03-06 22:38 Message: To be exact: the double logging happens only if vacation was enabled for a user before. If a user enables vacation for the first time, you should only get one log entry. It has to do with the way how enabling/changing vacation works internally. The root cause is that the logging is done indirect by AliasHandler. Instead, VacationHandler should log itsself and supress the logging in AliasHandler. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Charles (libertytrek) Date: 2010-12-31 15:11 Message: I just realized this is probably because both the vacation message and vacation alias get 'touched'... ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Charles (libertytrek) Date: 2010-12-31 15:01 Message: Oh... only vacation modifications appear to be double logged, editing the same users alias results in a single log entry... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=937964&aid=3148694&group_id=191583 |

Category: Vacation Group: SVN (please specify revision!) >Status: Closed >Resolution: Accepted Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Colin Viebrock (cviebrock) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Vacation dates not working Initial Comment: The SQL that checks to make sure the vacation is between the start and stop dates is only in one of 3 queries. Here's the patch (against rev 757, but I see the fix isn't in 882 either) to add the SQL conditions to the other two queries. I'm not sure if this is the most efficient solution, though. Perhaps this logic shouldn't be in the queries at all, and instead maybe the find_real_address() should return the entire record, and have the date range checking done at the end of the script in the main program? - Colin ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Christian Boltz (christian_boltz) Date: 2011-02-27 22:36 Message: Thanks for the bugreport and your patch! I commited it to SVN r970 - and added a TODO note that we should use a function instead of 3 copies of the same query ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=937964&aid=3152571&group_id=191583 |

In de admin/vacation it is working ok. has it something to do with the way users/vacation is updating the database $vh -> set-away and $vh -> remove any info is welcome Jan Kruis ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Christian Boltz (christian_boltz) Date: 2011-02-27 22:23 Message: I fixed this in SVN r945 about 3 weeks ago, but forgot to close this bugreport ;-) Please run "svn up" and then run setup.php to upgrade the database. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Christian Boltz (christian_boltz) Date: 2011-01-20 14:11 Message: The vacation table does not have a "modified" column for historical reasons (in the past, we deleted the entry when disabling vacation, so the created column was enough). However, nowadays we just disable the entry in the vacation table to preserve the text for the next time vacation is enabled for this user. In short: we should add a "modified" column to the vacation table. (I assume you are talking about SVN trunk (it would match a code change I did some weeks ago) - if this happens in 2.3.x, please add a note about it.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=937964&aid=3161276&group_id=191583 |

Nevertheless, thanks for pointing this out! I just see on http://de.php.net/call_user_func a user comment (from Dec 2008) saying "<?php call_user_func()?> and <?php call_user_func_array()?> hide some errors (notices, warnings and maybe errors), even if is display_errors turned on and error_Reporting is set to E_ALL|E_STRICT" This doesn't sound like what we want. I'll have to test the behaviour of call_user_func() regarding error messages before changing the code. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=937964&aid=3161493&group_id=191583 |

Category: Core Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Fredrik Rambris (boost) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Allow for custom generate password hook Initial Comment: I like the feature that the password can be generated but I don't like the passwords generated. How about letting the admin define a custom function to generate password. I have this as my generate_password() return exec("apg -m 8 -x 8 -MNCL -n 1"); ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Charles (libertytrek) Date: 2011-02-07 07:53 Message: Rather than reinventing the wheel, I'd prefer to just add support for cracklib per this (alomost) 2 year old feature request: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2752992&group_id=191583&atid=937967 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Valkum (valkum) Date: 2011-02-05 20:51 Message: Sounds good for the started password class. In a way the class could load additional classes from a plugin folder. I think a task for todo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=937967&aid=3171425&group_id=191583 |
