Hi. I'm trying to allow anonymous users to vote, without any limits, but I can't figure how to accomplish this. In fact the site I'm building won't have user registration at all. Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance. Regards. The latest release of Rogue is acting weird. In the module admininstration module, it seems that enabling a module actually disables it and disabling a module actually enables it. Also, if I post a comment on a poll while logged as an admin, I get an error upon submitting the comment. The comment is in fact really posted, but the return page resulting from posting does not get generated as expected. Finally, I get weird behaviors if I enable and disable the Messages/News modules many times in a row. Does anyone else experience those situations? Cheers, L. ----- Original Message ----- > Hi Laurent! > > On Thu, 27 Dec 2001, Laurent Therond wrote: > > > Is this list dead? > > I don't hang out in IRC because I very much prefer ML but from what I hear > it is very active for support. I'm running Debian which uses PHP 4.1.0 in a "module" format. I'm running into an error trying to upgrade (missing function) and was wondering what specific modules PostNuke 0.702 requires PHP4 to have. Anyone know any details on this? I'm currently running Mutant .64 and I'm trying to set the site preferences so that only registered members can post news stories. Where is this setting in the admin menu. Right now, registered members can submit news with no problem, however, whenever unregistered users try to post news, they get an error saying "You cannot access this file directly..." Isn't there a screen that lets unregistered users know (in a friendly way) that they have to register first to submit news? Alan McCoy |

You will need to have write access in the language module, as well as the root to create the temp language files. I believe those are the only directories. If you look at the errors that the script generates, it specifies the files that are needed to have the write access as well (sorry can't remember off the top of my head). I would just change the directory permissions, and then change them back to normal once you are done with the script generating the file. |
