When i put a repeated event for example "conference from 2nd sept to 13th Sept", so it'll repeat after every one day and the end daye is 13th sept,it even repeats during the display and thus if i've limited the number of upcoming events to 5, it's only that repeated event that shows. Is there a away of making it show only once? I appreciat all ideas and thanks in advance, Regards, Wilson --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). I've got a postnuke site I need secured. By secured I mean I need all content locked and only viewable by registered users and user registration must be approved by us. I also would really appreciate an event planner mod if anyone knows of a good one. This should allow us to assign different users to different events. Hi, I just found this list after spending several days trying to get PostNuke working, and hope someone can give me a pointer to what may be wrong. My problem, which is actually covered in the Installation FAQ, is an inability to access the initial Admin panel to configure the site. I've been through the suggestions but nothing seems to work. Since I have never run PostNuke before, I'm very much in the dark about what could be going wrong. I wondered if there is any way I could simply edit a text file to get a working setup so that I can get started. Does anyone have any example I could try out just so that I can make some progress? -- John |

Hi all, I would like to ask you for help. I am currently working on a site where I do not find user's nicks suitable for it. I would prefer their real names to be shown. It does not necessarily have to be in comments but it should be in articles. As far as my knowledge of PHP goes I found out there is something like a variable called "informant" that is saved in "nuke_stories" mysql table. Am I right? The thing is that this information is the nick but not the name (why it is not the id that is unique, then it would take pull needed data through this information...just an idea....:)). How is it possible to change it so that it would save the name, not the nick. What and where do I have to hack the code. Do you anybody already have such a hack? I don't think my PHP knowledge is enough for it (understand that there is none:)) The best would be if it could be applicable to comments too but here I would prefer to show both the information - nick and the name as well. Concerning this there is one more problem: when new user registers, he does not have to put his name into the database. Also later when he logs in and he is about to add some more data, the real name field is optional. I need this to be required field and it would be best if a user would have to fill it in right at the beginning of the registration process while he is filling in the nick and e-mail. Can you help me somehow with these problems? I would really appreciate this as it is very important for my site. Thank you very much in advance. Tomas Nekvasil |

Looking for a way to easilyintegrate this into one block. Problem is that I have six unique domain names to which users can subscribe. Can't figure out how to set up a login/sign up box with a drop down list that would actually work. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to make this as convenient as possible for my portal users. Thanks, Jane Tate |

I would definitely recommend that you NOT have root own those files. For further information on adding groups/users type "man groupadd" and "man useradd" respectively.
