Hello,
I did some testing with "Administration -> Maintenance -> Resources" I took XML "Company Data" and changed one character, after that I wanted to switch to "Administration -> Products". The programm asked very friendly "Do you want to save ...". Wonderful.
But.
If you do the same as above and switch to the line beyond -> "Payment Types" the program saves the value automatically.
What also happened to me is: I accidently deleted some lines, I couldn't get the lines back, because of this "autosaving".
I couldn't do a "undo".
This function is a little bit "unclear/buggy".
This also happens to other "maintenance menues" with the same type of processing.
Thank you.
This is normal POSper behavior. Editing different items on a list does not require to commit saving of the previus item. This is in contrast to leavind a view where the user is always asked to commit outstanding changes.
We could introduce an option to ask for commitment every time an item is saved.
However, this is low priority since we assume that after a learning curve it's more comfortable to have the changes saved immediately.
