I just tested that bug again in the latest version of PMD and it appears to be back. The same code is back to generating a false positive DoubleCheckedLocking warning.

Hi, could you post the exact source code, where you see the false positive? The bug 884 seems to be fixed, so maybe it's a slightly different code sample?
