Chocolatey package for `pmd` command line script
Chocolatey has now a package: https://chocolatey.org/packages/pmd https://github.com/AnthonyMastrean/chocolateypackages/tree/master/packages/pmd
Hi, I'm assuming you want to analyze Apex code, is this correct? Then there are two issues: for analyzing Apex source code, you need to have at least java8 installed and run pmd through java8. It seems, you are using an older version (hence the UnsupportedClassVersionError) When specifying the ruleset file, no additional "-d" is required - the path to the ruleset file must be directly given after "-R". The correct command line is: pmd.bat -d [path to apex source dir] -R [custom ruleset xml file]...
Please also skip pmd until we found time to upgrade the pmd plugin: mvnw.cmd clean verify -Dcheckstyle.skip=true -Dpmd.skip=true
As a workaround for now, you can just close the project "pmd-apex-jorje". This is not a Java Project, but just a maven module, with which eclipse obviously can't cope. Note: You might need to build PMD once from outside, atm with mvn clean verify -Dpmd.skip=true until we found time to upgrade the PMD plugin.
