      The R380 is currently not supported.
      Several protocol-details are different from the Psion's PLP protocol. Furthermore, before "speaking" PLP on it's serial line, the Ericson has to be switched into a PLP mode using some AT commands. An exact description can be found at http://www.thouky.co.uk/software/psifs/plp.html

      Do you have some programming knowledge? If so, contact me via email please and we can try to implement that in plptools.

        Hi there,

        Sorry for replying late to a post of yours about plptools. I'm interested in extending plptools to connect to the Ericsson R380s, and have read the spec at thouky.co.uk and downloaded the source. I was just wondering if you know of anyone else who is already doing this (particularly as the next set of Symbian smartphones are out), and whether you had any hints about finding my way round the code. I've only made a preliminary examination of it, but it seems OK for me to work with.

        Thanks in advance,

        Ambrose Nankivell

      I am starting to look at the changes necessary for getting an R380 connected.  so far however I have managed to grab a script of what the windows connection does but replaying it back to the R380 does not work.

      On the windows software: (> is R380)
      > 17 10 02 21 10 03 34 43                           ...!..4C
      < 17 10 02 21 10 03 34 43                           ...!..4C
      > 17 10 02 24 00 00 79 4C 10 03 BA 3B               ...$..yL..;
      < 17 10 02 24 00 00 EA 3F 10 03 B9 77               ...$..?..w

      if I change ncpd to use 0x17 then it sends the right string however the R380 just responds with the same string again i.e. it never notices the PC's response.

      Help?
