    Problem with plpprint :

    % plpprintd -d -v
    started, waiting for requests.
    WPRT ERR:()
plpprintd: could not connect: unit disconnected
    WPRT ERR:()
plpprintd: could not connect: unit disconnected
    WPRT ERR:()

Naturally the Epoc machine is connected and I selected Print via PC.
From the Ericcson the files are created but never spooled on the Linux box.
Here the description of my Epoc stuff :

    General:
      Machine Type: Series 5
      Machine Name: Ericsson MC 218
      Machine UID:  1000118ae1c20ba3
      UI Language:  French
    ROM:
      Version:      1.05(262)
      Size:         8192k
      Programmable: yes

    Thanks for your help.

It looks like the WPRT daemon on your MC218 either dies or does use a different Protocol than on my Psion S5. (I developed and tested it on an Psion S5).
The ROM version looks somewhat old (i have Version 1.05(319)) so it possibly could be a version mismatch only (the Print protocol exchanges Version-Information during initialization. All the versions i'm aware of use 2.0 a print protocol version. If you are capable of building the stuff yourself, you could try to change the printer version in lib/wprt.cc in the initPrinter function (the two lines have a comment about the version).

It's working now, when I start it by hand. But when plpprintd is started as a daemon with init.d/psion it's not working. So the problem was not with the MC218.

I compiled the source of plpprint on my computer.

Now the big problem is to print the Postscript created by plpprint.
      Here the error :

The Error: line is missing. It is printed before the Operand stack dump.
I responded by email to your sourceforge address ...

        is that problem solved?

I get the exact same error... only my ghostscript version differs:

GNU Ghostscript 7.05: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1

how to solve this? Is this a bug?

            I found the solution...
the bug is already solved in the CVS version of plptools.

            tnx guys...
