I've got the announcement about plplot-5.2.0 release. First of all, many thanks to maintainers for such a nice software. May I ask a question? Does the tar file of release differ from the today's cvs tree? The problem is that I'm not able to build the plplot from cvs. First I tried through ./bootstrap and have the following warnings ""ls: libltdl/*: No such file or directory WARNING: Using auxiliary files such as `acconfig.h', `config.h.bot' WARNING: and `config.h.top', to define templates for `config.h.in' WARNING: is deprecated and discouraged. WARNING: Using the third argument of `AC_DEFINE' and WARNING: `AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED' allows to define a template without WARNING: `acconfig.h': WARNING: AC_DEFINE([NEED_MAIN], 1, WARNING: [Define if a function `main' is needed.]) WARNING: More sophisticated templates can also be produced, see the WARNING: documentation."" After ./configure and make I've get ""Making all in libltdl make[1]: Entering directory `/home/soft/RPM/BUILD/plplot-5.2.0/libltdl' make[1]: *** No rule to make target `all'. Stop. make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/soft/RPM/BUILD/plplot-5.2.0/libltdl' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1"" Next I tried to cook a different configure script in dir cf via typing autoconf. After reconfiguration the buildings stops with the following errors "gcc -c -O -I. -MD -MF .d.pdfutils -MP -c pdfutils.c -o pdfutils.o pdfutils.c:30:21: plplotP.h: No such file or directory pdfutils.c:33: parse error before '*' token pdfutils.c:57: parse error before '*' token pdfutils.c: In function `pdf_fopen': pdfutils.c:60: `PDFstrm' undeclared (first use in this function) etc" The problem here that configure script does not make the rigth path to the include files. I'm working with ALTLinux distribution, autoconf-2.2.57, gcc-3.2.1, kernel-2.4.20. I have no such a problem with 5.1.0 version. rgds, v |
