Hi Valery, it's generally not the best idea IMHO to mix macports and your own source builds. Sadly, macports as well as fink are not even close to the standard you reach with apt-get, rpm, ... Plplot compiles nicely with qt and python if you keep macports out of the game. You need to install qt from the nokia site (if you have 10.6 you should probably download the cocoa version) and python is on the system already. Then edit your .profile file in your home directory and remove the inclusion of the /opt/local/... stuff, since this is macport. Then cmake shouldn't find anything of macports somewhere (also don't use / opt/local in the cmake command line) and it should compile. As long as you only need some libraries it's best to compile them yourself. If you e.g. need gtk for OSX macports might be a good choice.
