When I've built plplot with the f77 interface I have done it using the g77 version that you listed. I've updated the INSTALL file to reflect what currently works for me. Please note that you cannot currently build with both g77 and gfortran, you have to choose! You can build the f77 interface with the gfortran compiler, so you might check whether the user has gfortran and then just use that, or you could just make gfortran a requirement. -Hazen |
