Hello Lorenzo, I have been successful in compiling and linking PLplot on Windows using the VC2003 toolkit (*). (I am cc-ing this to the PLplot list, so that others are aware of this too). Your suggestion to include these extra libraries in the distribution was indeed the solution. I tested example programs 1 to 18 (14 is missing on the Windows platform) and they all behaved correctly. One thing I have not tested yet is the DLL version of PLplot. It seems that the compiler does not like the use of function prototypes as it is right now in plstub.c - I will have to figure out what is wrong there. Anyway, I think we are making progress now. Next step: edit the README file for the win32 driver. Regards, Arjen (*) The VC2003 toolkit is the _free_ MicroSoft C/C++ compiler. It is the same or almost the same as that distributed in the .NET development environment, but without the graphical IDE. Unfortunately, you need some extra libraries to make the PLplot examples (or anything graphical I assume). |
