Hi, I am using plplot 5.2.1 release. I have a problem with making plrender do what I want. After browsing through the code I am almost sure I will not be able to do that, but one can always ask ;) I am using plrender to allow the user to save plots in various formats from within my gui-based program. Thus, I also use an interactive output device (a qt driver that I wrote). The output i get is different in both cases. The problem is the aspect ratio of the plot. It seems that plrender keeps aspect of the whole virtual plotting area that has 1.(3) aspect ratio, and not just of the plot. In effect, when I save to 'plmeta' and then to eg. jpeg I get unwanted space on the sides or on the top/bottom, depending on the aspect of the original plot (I set it with plvpas). Browsing through plmeta driver / plrender made me think that plrender is always plotting whole 1.(3) aspect (that's the 32768x24576 virtual plotting area). Can this behaviour be changed? Or do I have to render directly to jpeg? I would really want to avoid this... I would really appreciate your help. Thanks Marcin |
