Hello, Please don't send emails to all the playerstage mailing lists. Read the descriptions for each mailing list, and choose one. In particular, you should never post messages to the commit list. Can you post your player config file? Did you create a plugin driver (which is what you should have done)? Look at player/examples/plugins/exampledriver. In Gazebo, did you create a Sonar Sensor, Controller, and Player Interface? What does Gazebo output when you start it up? -nate On Fri, Nov 7, 2008 at 4:16 PM, Alexis Mackenzie <alm...@us...> wrote: > we are working on a project for class and we'd like to add our own personal sonar device to player. we've modified gazebo to have the sonar we want but when we try to run our own sonarAvoid code in player we get the following errors: > > player: > warning: skipping subscription to unknown device sonarScanner;0 > > driver: > playerc error: got NACK from request > playerc error: failed to get responce > SonarScannerProxy: SonarScannerProxy()(-1) : could not subscribe > > We think the problem is because our sonarScanner never got added to the device table but we're not sure where we would need to do that. Any suggestions on what we could be missing? What steps are needed to add a new device to player? Perhaps there is something we forgot. > > Also, is there an architecture documentation somewhere that we could look at? > > Thanks. > ~Alexis > |
