Travis, Both the includes directory structure and the lib directory structure changed= from player 1 to player 2. My player 2 libs are located at /usr/local/lib/ = or /usr/local/share/lib I can't recall since I am not in front of my computer= right now. Once you find the libs ther are a number of ways to assert their= location (I.e. From the -L flag in the Make file to the L D LIBRARY PATH env= ironment variable to the /etc/L D.conf.so file) such that your code should ju= st compile. Disclaimer.... I am not too familiar with the BSD standard file structure wh= ich the Mac uses so this may be of little help regarding the specifics howeve= r the conceptually you need to find the lib directory manually and add it to = the Makefile or standard shared object search path. Good luck Doug Few ----- Original Message ----- From: playerstage-users-admin Sent: 04/26/2006 11:10 AM To: pla...@li... Subject: [Playerstage-users] Generating a Makefile for Mac? I have been successfully using Player/Stage 1.6.5 on Linux for some time. I recently compiled and installed Player/Stage 2.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.4.6. It is working properly. I am able to run all of the example programs just fine. But I can't figure out how to get my own client programs to compile. I've tried using makemake to generate a makefile, but it can't locate all of the player libraries. I'm using makemake for my Linux code. I've tried to use Automake by following the tutorial you have online, but I just can't get it to work. I've also tried searching the mailing lists for anyone with mac troubles, but didn't find anything. Does anyone know if there is a text file somewhere that I can add the libraries to some path variable? Does anyone have a simple, successful makefile where i could just replace the name of my client program and run? Any help would be much appreciated.
