Please, have you delete the previous version before to install this one? The best way is to backup your databases on your desktop, delete DB, install the new version and restore the databases. If you already have your trouble contact me directly, thank you for your bug report. For a lot of people it's not use to delete the previous version but for you i don't understand. Salut, Marc. This is a great program, but I am having trouble with the converter. I keep getting the error message -- unsupported field type. I started with the 1.0.0 version. Then I read something on the list about the converter not being compatible. So, I downloaded the previous version of DB, installed it on my Palm and created a test database. It still gives me the same error message. What am I missing? |

I have a palm 7 for about 1 year. I use it to keep my rolodex and the calendar as a reminder. I would like to use it for other things but it seems limited as to what I can do. I run my own small business and use a powerful relationtional DB to track my customers and the job details. any ideas on some soft ware I could use. |

>How do you use the Link and the Linked fields in DB? Is there any >documentation on this? Thank-you-------------------------------------- Not that I've seen yet. Here's my usage: I have an inventory database, and a service history database. In the Service history database I want to see some of the fields from the inventory database without re-entering them. In the service history database structure I make the first field the asset tag and set the field type as "Link". Then in the selector that pops up, I choose the Inventory database and the asset tag field in that database. Then I continue to setup the fields as needed for the service history. The fields that I also want to display from the Inventory database I include, and set the field type as "Linked", and select the matching field in the popup of the Inventory data fields. Now when I make an entry in the service history database, I tap the asset tag field and I see the data from the inventory database. I select the record I want to cross-reference to, and fill in the remaining fields as needed. The fields that I set as type "Linked" obviously have no input fields, you can't/don't enter anything into them. I save the record. At least in the previous beta, after returning to the list view you'd see the record but the linked fields would be blank. If you re-enter the record the Linked fields will all be populated with the correct data, and it will now be visible if you exit back to the record list view. |

Well, I used filez to delete all DB files, installed the DB release version as well as several plugins. Still, the colorselect plugin will not work, just gives me a dialog: resc -1. Are you trying to do this in Access VBasic? I tried a long time ago with E= xcel VBasic and found that I was going to have to do some fancy coding to g= et the MSB and LSB in the right order. As that as it's difficult to release a version, i corrected again two bugs on the plugin support. I already updated the db-1_0_0_0.zip file. Sorry! You can find the German overlay in this zip file:) I thank all translators for their job which was very quick. |

Hi! Many thanks to the guys developing PilotDB. I'm enjoying using it very much. I seem to be having a problem with v 0.3.4 beta 9 (full version). Having installed over v 0.3.4 beta 4 I find that, in the record view, when I make a 'new line' Grafitti stroke (diagonal from top right to bottom left), instead of creating a new line to write on in the current field, the record exits straight back to the record list view of the current database. I installed my previous version again (beta 4) and I don't have that problem. Best wishes, Ian Palm m505 OS v4.0 |

I put the release on the website. But the first thing to do when you open the application is to redefine all your preferences. If you have some display trouble like Ockwig Ryan, it's come from the global preferences and exactly the minimum column width. Or if it's the row height which is too big or to small, you must redefine the font. |

Motorola 68000 is big endian. You have to byte swap. Look at how palm-db-tools does it in the following file. Here is a direct URL to the CVS version of the file: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/palm-db-tools/palm-db-tools/libflatfile/DB.cpp?rev=1.6&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup |

(I use only these apps) You did, I was agreeing with you. I don't think DB traps for the esc button and has any coding to handle it, hence why the OS calls the launcher. >This must be a stupid question : what is "Handera overlay" and >how can I get it? Thanks. The packaging apparently is reorginized in this version. You'll find the overlay in the "overlay" directory in the beta nine archive. And since we're still on the topic of handera-izing. When you start up the VFS plugin on the 330 in the database list view via Menu->Options->Plugins, you get a popup window which I assume is a mechanism to move a database from ram to card. It sort of displays in upper-left mode rather than scale-to-fit. Further once you exit it the display is corrupted (though not evident until you tap on a database title). You end up having to exit and relaunch DB. |
