Do you think you have time to make changes to your patch so that the widgets are correct spaced according the the Gnome Human Interface Guidelines? You could probably use other parts of Gaim as a reference. Especially the preferences pages. Also, I think I would rather see this patch done against CVS HEAD. It might apply cleanly without any changes--I'm not sure how much the account stuff has changed between the oldstatus branch and HEAD. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sadrul H C (sadrul) Date: 2005-05-30 11:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1132702 For anyone craving for a screenshot of the change: http://adil.dotgeek.org/gaim/gaim_act_mod_tab1.png http://adil.dotgeek.org/gaim/gaim_act_mod_tab2.png -- Sadrul Habib Chowdhury ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300235&aid=1211365&group_id=235 |

Also, it looks like stdbool.h only defines lowercase versions of "true" and "false," and as far as I can tell, the oscar PRPL does not use lowercase versions of "true" and "false." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300235&aid=1218955&group_id=235 |

So that TCL scripts may make use of passwords stored in $HOME/.gaim/accounts.xml and silently send password to NickServ etc. whenever required. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mark Doliner (thekingant) Date: 2005-06-12 13:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=20979 I agree with Ethan. Exposing the password field to TCL scripts seems more likley to do harm than good. Unless you can justify this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ethan Blanton (eblanton) Date: 2005-06-08 23:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=298616 Hmm, I thought I replied to a similar comment once before. The IRC account password, specifically, is completely unrelated to any NickServ password you might have. You should use a different preference for a nickserv password. The IRC account password refers to an optional password for the PASS command, which some servers require. With this in mind, I think exposing account passwords to scripts is not a good idea. You may wish to create your own password preference, using the gaim::prefs command. (I am not closing this patch just yet, this is still open for discussion.) Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Sadrul H C (sadrul) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Backporting buddy-icon-cached-signal and buddy-icon-extn Initial Comment: backporting two seperate patches ([ 1211718 ] "Set Extension for Saving Buddy Icons" and [ 1197984 ] "Add a Buddy Icon Cached Signal" : both by rlaager] for oldstatus (a combined patch). -- Adil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Richard Laager (rlaager) Date: 2005-06-11 23:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=156487 As it stood, the plugin didn't even use the buddy icon type stuff yet. I just fixed that. However, for oldstatus, I could do the type stuff in the plugin. To the as-yet-unassigned developer: If it makes it easier, only the signal needs to be backported. Let me know what you'd like to do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Richard Laager (rlaager) Date: 2005-06-11 16:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=156487 There are a couple things that need changing on this patch: 1. In value.h, this should not be adding a value to the middle of the enum. The end is fine. The reason for this is that it breaks binary compatibility (which is not allowed except for major releases). 2. The comment about GDK should be changed to match what it says in HEAD. This isn't a big deal, but it makes it consistent. 3. This incorporates the buddy icon saving change. (A real extension is set instead of .icon.) This was ChangeLog'ed for 2.0.0. If this backport is to be accepted, that needs to be ChangeLog'ed in oldstatus and removed in HEAD. Be aware that this would force an increase in the minor version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300235&aid=1218914&group_id=235 |

Category: Plugins Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Tim Hentenaar (matriarktervel) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: New Prpl Initial Comment: This prpl implements the PalTalk Protocol in oldstatus CVS. I did most of the reverse engineering with PalTalk 5.x about a year ago, and finally got around to writing a prpl for it. I have updated it to be compatible with the new PalTalk 8.x clients [there were some protocol changes in between]. I'm planning to port this up to head once it becomes a bit more stable. I have tested this with gaim 1.3.0 stable and oldstatus. The attached file contains a diff against this evening's oldstatus (6/9), and the additional files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Richard Laager (rlaager) Date: 2005-06-11 16:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=156487 I'd recommend maintaining this separate of Gaim. See meanwhile.sf.net as an example. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300235&aid=1217958&group_id=235 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Stanislav Brabec (sbrabec) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: patch to prevent sound blocking Initial Comment: Patch from Ximian bugzilla. It is not clean solution, but at least some GNOME users will be happy with it. Patch author: Joe Shaw Comment: Kind of a nasty quick-fix hack, but it should do the trick. Opened by Magnus Boman on 2004-08-09 18:15 Long Description Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: If I am using Rhythmbox 0.8.3 to play my MP3's all sound from GAIM (0.80-2.2) seems to queue up until I quit Rhytmbox, after which the sounds from GAIM is played (quite annonying if you have been chatting for a long time). If it's not belived to be related, let me know and I file a new bug for it. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Start GAIM and Rhytmbox 2. Start playing your songs in Rhytmbox and start chatting on GAIM 3. Quit Rhytmbox Actual Results: All sounds that have been queued from GAIM while Rhytmbox was playing are played Expected Results: To either supress the sounds all together or to play them even if Rhytmbox is playing ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mark Doliner (thekingant) Date: 2005-06-10 16:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=20979 Are there times when esd and/or arts are running but ao_default_driver_id() returns something other than esd and arts? If so, would that be considered a bug in libao? The proposed change almost feels like it's attempting to work around a flaw in libao, and it seems like it would be better to modify ao_default_driver_id() to return esd and/or arts before anything else. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300235&aid=1218288&group_id=235 |
