Initial Comment: Hi I have installed 0.6.2 on 0.9.3-1, it reported succesful and after that I copied the supplemental files. But I got errors when trying to setup a forum on a branch-site and on the main-site, so I tried to uninstall the module from boost, but that was unsuccesful. Now I cant even access the branch or the mainsite at www.rabat.dk - i get this error: DB Error: no such table select * from mod_phpwsbb_settings [nativecode=1146 ** Table 'dbrabat1.mod_phpwsbb_settings' doesn't exist] I have two sites down (other branches of same site without module works) - because of this, please help me to move forward on or uninstall the module, I have phpmyadmin and root access... Please check out latest CVS of phpwsbb and test away if you can. See docs/ChangeLog for changes. One known issue is that the index creation will bomb if table prefixes are used. I'm probably going to have to supply instructions on how to fix the bug in Database.php. Let me know what you guys think. I think it should be the opposite and monitoring should be off by default and I usually click 'Monitor Off' after posting. That probably just shows my preference to not receiving more email than I need. This should probably be settable with a user level preference but also a site level preference would also be required to set the default. It may also be possible that a site doesn't want email monitoring at all so a setting to disable monitoring of threads entirely would also be useful in that instance. So... In Settings for admin... I think there should be some way of purging all my monitors. ie. a 'Remove all monitors' option followed by 'Are you sure y/n?' just in case. Members only. Secondly, a more fine grained approach would be to show a list of monitored threads and allow the user to unmonitor each one that they have monitored. The list approach would implement what could be used as a 'favourite threads' list and could perhaps be expanded on as an idea. eg. adding threads to the favourites list instead of monitoring by email. Perhaps an innovative feature not available in other forum software that would make phpwsBB stand out. From an admin point of view, being able to view what threads are monitored, by who and what people mark as a favourite is quite powerful. Being able to remove a users monitors would also be useful. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=562405&aid=862993&group_id=81260 |

This replicates a feature found in other popular forum software (phpBB, Invisionboard..). There should be [Reply to this Message] buttons attatched to each message. 'Report Post' - allow users to report a post they find offensive to a forum moderator/admin. It'll need a form so they can explain why they are reporting the post which is then emailed to the admin. They then decide to hide/delete/ edit the post. Not very important but certainly eases admin work on a busy forum where you can make the forum semi-self policing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=562405&aid=843133&group_id=81260 |
