Alright let's shoot for a Fri 9 Apr 2004 release. If I don't hear back before then, I will release. If you can test sooner rather than later I can have fixes in and still hit this Friday. Please file any bugs in the bug tracker, so the other testers will see the messages and there aren't duplicate reports. Thanks again for all of your help, fellas. --=20 "I understand small business growth. I was one." George W. Bush February 19, 2000 Quoted in the New York Daily News. |

OK so I got antsy and released and then singletrack hit me up with a couple of somewhat major bugs, so the release was pulled. I think I have them fixed, if you guys could PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE test it out and let me know and maybe I'll get a release out today yet. Just a note to see if anyone has had a chance to do some more testing. I know that Bobby and Dan have. Bobby has set it up on a demo site, which you can get to from http://phpwebsitemanual.com. I've made some more cosmetic changes and a couple of bug fixes in the last 24 hours, so just to be sure update your CVS and give it another go. If there is high confidence I'll probably release phpwsBB 0.9.0 tomorrow then. Thanks again for all your help. I've added a docs/CREDITS.txt file giving mad props. Don. I have committed the last of the planned feature changes for 0.9.0. Please test heavily. If I can suggest some testing methods, try to test as a deity, a normal user, and an anonymous user, to make sure I have permissions all sewn up. Sourceforge is currently down so in the morning I might peek through some RFEs and if there are any teeny tiny easy ones I might do those too. Otherwise it's code complete. Note that there are a LOT of template changes, so if you are doing custom templates you'll want to re-copy these. Anyway please test and file any bugs you find. Thanks a ton in advance for your hard work. Apologies in advance for my incredible sloppiness. I'm honestly just trying to shove this out the door so I can focus on other projects. I'll be taking a bit of a hiatus =66rom phpwsBB after this as far as new features. Bugs will always be a priority. Don. --=20 "We ought to make the pie higher." George W. Bush February 15, 2000 Comment made in Columbia, South Carolina during presidential campaign. |

The list approach would implement what could be used as a 'favourite threads' list and could perhaps be expanded on as an idea. eg. adding threads to the favourites list instead of monitoring by email. Perhaps an innovative feature not available in other forum software that would make phpwsBB stand out. From an admin point of view, being able to view what threads are monitored, by who and what people mark as a favourite is quite powerful. Being able to remove a users monitors would also be useful. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=562405&aid=921532&group_id=81260 |

Forums :: General Discussion is the title in a block containing the forum with 'Forums' being a link to the list of forums. By default phpwsbb uses a default_box.tpl style box so the navigation is visible, however, I quite often use default_empty.tpl which doesn't have the {TITLE} tag and the navigation doesn't appear. It's fixable by creating a new default box style like default_empty.tpl but with the extra tag however I don't think it's a good idea to put important elements in the {TITLE} tag. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=562402&aid=906905&group_id=81260 |
