on february 3rd+4th 2007 there will be a barcamp in Klagenfurt, Austria.=20
I've been to the one in Vienna in September and thought it was a=20
constructive (un)conference with great athmosphere.

Reini, do you think you would find the time to be there? I think it=20
would be a great opportunity to spread the word about the upcoming=20
1.3.13 release.

hi,

it seems openID (http://openid.net/) is getting some buzz lately 
(finally). i think it would be great to have an option for 
authentication via openid for phpwiki. what do you think?

currently I'm trying to implement a comment-plugin using openid. i'll 
let you know when it's working.

I will be easier to keep your existing config.ini and check only the
new options.

The table structure will not change, but internally the links
changed to support semantic relations.
So you need to do invoke ?action=upgrade once.

for me the roundtrip Wikitext => Wysiwyg => Wikitext
for

gives me:

The bug

    * using verbatim does not work:

The problem is in the substitution of special characters - the html =
rendered above is:

here &quot;<a =
href=3D"http://www.test.com/&quot">http://www.test.com/&quot</a>; after =
text

instead of

here &quot;<a =
href=3D"http://www.test.com/">http://www.test.com/</a>&quot; after text

nope.
those two tables (user is gone) will never have prefixes per default,
because SQL authentification is optional and the user will have to
check these anyway.

Sorry, I cannot hold my deadline.
At least I found some more severy problems, and installed it at a
lot more servers than previously.

Loading virgin pages with a charset different to latin1 will most likely
destroy the database (pagename problems).
With dba and utf-8 for example it's impossible to search for pages and
list all pages. On redhat with an utf-8 system charset ($LANG) it is
enough to
disable all these features regardless of the phpwiki charset.

There's an easy fix, but a lot of work.
Similar for the new WikiWys.
The php-5.1x session lossage is also a blocking problem not yet solved.

So I will try to get it out in the middle of January.

support from Jean-Nicolas GEREONE.
Sabri just fixed the one outstanding bug #1570577 with non-UTF-8 charsets.

That makes perfect sense. Because for PHP I am using the pre-compiled
binaries for Oracle which is a build of  php-5.1.6

The problem with loosing sessions is reproducible on my php-5.1.6
setup with apache 1.x
I'll work on that.
php 5.0.x and 4.x are okay.

Sure! It's one of the highlights.

I couldnt bring out the planned rc last week because of some new bugs
I found during testing, but I will bring it out this weekend and the
release before holidays, which I will spend in morocco.

[Phpwiki-talk] ADMIN losses authentication

Hi.  I have set an ADMIN password (non-encryped) in config.ini and I can sign
in as ADMIN.
However, when I got to the new admin button that appears at the top for this
user, I
get to that administrative page, but at the bottom it reverts to "You are
signed in but
not authenticated as ADMIN" so I sign in again. Then I click on /remove and
select pages
to be removed, and select a page I just created called "PageToBeDeleted' But
when
I try to delete it, I get this message:

Didn't removed page 'PageToBeDeleted'. Access denied. 

..and at bottom I see it says again 'You are signed in but not authenticated
as ADMIN'

I know it has something to do with configuration, but please help. I am in
the process of
rolling out my wiki internally, but I need to delete as well as rename some
pages.

Just installed phpwiki v1.3.12p configured to use
MySQL+AdoDB.

PHP 5.1.2
Mysql 4.1.21

When updating UserPreferences an "failed to insert"
sql error is thrown because of duplicate keys. Traced
problem to set|getPreferences functions in
lib\Adodb.php. Specifically, the use of associative
array to reference "prefs" field.

I changed the code as follows in both setPreferences
and getPreferences. I didn't see an clean way of
calling $db->SetFetchMode(ADODB_FETCH_ASSOC) given the
many different DBs supported.

[Phpwiki-talk] GDBM Corruption / PHPWiki 1.3.12p3

I have been using PHPWiki 1.3.12p3.

Some of the GDBM pages seem to have corrupted.  When I load those 
particular pages, I get nothing but a blank page.  I don't know where to 
search for error logs, but I'm not seeing any in the http logs, or syslog.

    A related symptom is that RecentChanges and FindPage no longer work 
-- but direct reference access to (most) pages does work.

I've seen some reference to using testgdbm (from gnu gdbm-1.8.3) to scan 
for and fix errors, but when I run the tools against the file, it shows 
zero DB entries.  I'm not sure I'm using the right tool.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Reini-- thanks. I am going to update my other thread. With C.J's
help I've also been able to get Oracle 10.2.0.2 DB running as the
backend, using phpwiki-1.3.12p3.tar with several hacks to certain
files, and Zend Core as the PHP ennviroment.
