Hi, I recently installed PHP Wiki version 1.2.10 (the version that the control panel on my hosting package gave me). It's working fine, but I'm finding I can't get to the admin pages... Clicking on the link to http://mywiki/admin.php brings up a Login box, but even if I put in the correct admin user and password details, it returns me back to that box. I've done a little digging and investigation, and it seems that the PHP_AUTH_USER and PHP_AUTH_PW variables aren't available. This is probably related to registerglobals being off in the PHP installation... but the ones that should replace those, $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW'], aren't available either. I've asked my site's admins to look into it, but anyone here have any ideas what I should ask them to look for? Thanks Phil |

Reini- thanks -it worked as posted above. I also want to downsize the page / topic title title (in blue, also serves as a backlink) on each page- since it is rather big. I am adjusting the backlink css properties, but that is not working. I see it's also using <h1></h1> for the header which is making it very large, but not sure where to adjust that...thanks for your help. Reini -- Thanks that worked!! I added in font size to the body tag in the file you mentioned, restarted apache, and it worked..this will be great. I checked out the smaller theme but I still like the MacOSX theme better (but with smaller text, so less scrolling). $ pwd /usr/local/Zend/apache2/htdocs/wiki/themes/MacOSX $ diff MacOSX.css.bak MacOSX.css body { } -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Adjusting-font-size-in-phpwiki-with-the-MacOSX-theme--tf2579777.html#a7309990 Sent from the phpwiki-talk mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

This issue appears to be caused by a change in php or mysql at Jaguarpc.com, my server. None of the phpwiki source files appear to have changed. Nevertheless, this may be an issue that has to be addressed. And it is related to the issue that [Links with spaces] don't work on a html dump on Windows. Hi, Tim. Yes, the original issue was that [Links with spaces] are suddenly having problems. And yes, it's easy to see that %2520 means %20, which means a space. But this doesn't fix the issue that suddenly arose with my wiki, namely, that all my pages named with spaces are now inaccessible. To reiterate, there is no longer any way to access the page that used to be called http://hawsedc.com/thomas/Spiritual%20Nuggets Perhaps on a page-by-page basis there is a way I could modify the page names in the database so the wiki will bring up the pages. I would be willing to do that, but I would want a way to execute an SQL query to change not only the page names, but any links to them in page content. That's easy... %20 is a space, and %25 is presumably a % sign. My tip, use underscores instead of spaces in names. Sure it's not a fix, but it prevents this happening. I have downloaded and installed most recent versions of phpwiki and php on windows under Apache but I am not sure how to exactly configure things. I have done as much as I could but at this point I get an empty page when going to index.php under my wiki installation. Could somebody let me know what exactly needs to be done under Windows? Thanks, -- Jalil |

Here are some more clues. Note the progressive corruption of the page title: 1. Every [Page with spaces] is empty and its title looks something like this: Non-violence%20and%20non-possession 2. If you click on the title for BackLinks, the page name is further corrupted like this: Non-violence%2520and%2520non-possession The contents of all pages are searched to find links to the current page. The BackLinks function also answers the question: "Which pages contain the title of this page?". ________________________________ No other page links to Non-violence%2520and%2520non-possession yet. ---- Weird, huh? Any ideas? Tom |

Hi, We are using phpwiki-1.3.12p3 inside our company (with mysql until I get Oracle working as the db). I chose phpwiki over other Wikis because of the MacOSX theme. We are wondering how to make the font size smaller. Particularly when you combine it with the Rich Table plugin, it seems you have to scroll a lot, and I notice and I've found myself making my entries smaller for each topic, so that the information can be seen without scrolling. I know that people can adjust the font size in their browser, but what's the best way to adjust it in the program itself? Create a theme called MacOSX2 copying everything, and then start playing with the specified font sizes in the CSS files, but perhaps there is a better way? The most critical is the size of the text in the body of the page-- I am not nearly as worried about the text associated with the buttons. Slighty reducing the size of the page title may also help. In any case, if someone could advise on how to do this most efficiently that would be great. I did search all of the phpwiki forums on sourceforce.net and did not come up with any thing. Thanks, Marvin Hecht. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Adjusting-font-size-in-phpwiki-with-the-MacOSX-theme--tf2579777.html#a7191753 Sent from the phpwiki-talk mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

We use /tmp for TEMP_DIR, PLUGIN_CACHED_CACHE_DIR and DATABASE_DIRECTORY in a lot of functions. Just set those to existing directories. Session-wide $TEMP should be used for the cache (editing, plugins), but user-specific $TEMP does not hurt. That's in config.ini: PLUGIN_CACHED_CACHE_DIR Upload needs TEMP, but this is a php.ini setting. DATABASE_TYPE = dba or file for pages and sessions stores at DATABASE_DIRECTORY. You should check SESSION_SAVE_PATH and USE_DB_SESSION with dba and file. > ----- Original Message ----- > *From:* Reini Urban <mailto:ru...@x-...> > *To:* Discussion on PhpWiki features, bugs, development. > <mailto:php...@li...> > *Sent:* Saturday, September 23, 2006 8:21 AM > *Subject:* Re: [Phpwiki-talk] /tmp folder causing and error > > Karl schrieb: > > I have paid a company to host among other things phpwiki for the > > development team where I work. > > I have successfully installed phpwiki in the past and have a > database > > full of entries (from a server we had it running on) to import > once it's > > working but the company that is hosting it for us uses a cluster of > > machines running CentOS 4.3 (I understand that clusters have a /tmp > > folder problem because each machine has it's own folder). > > The install is having major problems with the /tmp folder even > though we > > are using MySQL which shouldn't need it and redirecting all /tmp > entries > > to a new subdirectory. There's no parameter supported, like &theme=new which you can add to your url. The url must be constructed differently, pointint to a different starter script which overrides the THEME from config.ini. For example: url /newtheme points to a php script with the content define("THEME", "new"); include("index.php"); include("lib/main.php"); and the wikipage pointing to your page with the new theme must point to this new url. This is no internal link then. I suggest to create an interwiki link for this. -- Reini Urban http://phpwiki.org/ http://murbreak.at/ http://helsinki.at/ http://spacemovie.mur.at/ |

Any news about this? I'm experiencing also problems with 1.3.12p3. Yesterday I ran into the "20 concurrent processes" limit of my hoster suspending any access to the pages for several minutes. Although Yahoo! Slurp was crawling the wiki at the same time, the server log told me that there were _many_ minutes between the twenty requests, so I suspect that some requests lead to a hanging process. I can't get performance logs, but only the requests. Some of them are rather strange, so I post some examples (only the "action" part, not the page names): ?action=PageInfo&version=2 ?action=browse&version=25 ?action=edit&version=4 ?action=viewsource&version=2 ?action=LikePages&version=1 ?action=DebugInfo&version=3 ?action=diff&version=7 I wonder where the version= part comes from - all requested pages have only version 1. The page text doesn't have direct links to these requests, so I wonder how the crawler assembled them? Oliver -- Oliver Betz, Muenchen |

Hi, Reini Urban wrote: [...] > Can you send me your ZIP please to rei...@gm... > > I fixed a problem with loadfile and archived version to recreate the old > versions recently in CVS. But a CRC32 problem would be interesting. I ran into the same trouble tonight importing a zip dump from 1.3.10 into a fresh installation of 1.3.12p3 - I have some diagnostic info and a workaround. Hint: the problem is with the CRC32 checksum comparison, not the zip files. First, in order to get better diagnostics, I changed lib/ziplib.php to: 186 function zip_inflate ($data, $crc32, $uncomp_size) 187 { 188 if (function_exists('gzinflate')) { 189 $data = gzinflate($data); 190 if (strlen($data) != $uncomp_size) 191 trigger_error("not enough output from gzinflate", E_USER_ERROR); 192 # if (zip_crc32($data) != $crc32) 193 $zcrc32 = zip_crc32($data); 194 if ($zcrc32 != $crc32) 195 trigger_error("CRC32 mismatch: calculated=$zcrc32, expected=$crc32 ", E_USER_ERROR); 196 return $data; 197 } My zip file upload fails with: lib/ziplib.php:195: Error: CRC32 mismatch: calculated=-337476845, expected=3957490451 Note that 2^32 = 4294967296 and 4294967296 - 337476845 = 3957490451 My guess is there's some problem with signed vs unsigned 32-bit integers, pack/unpack, or something along those lines - once I changed lib/ziplib.php to 186 function zip_inflate ($data, $crc32, $uncomp_size) 187 { 188 if (function_exists('gzinflate')) { 189 $data = gzinflate($data); 190 if (strlen($data) != $uncomp_size) 191 trigger_error("not enough output from gzinflate", E_USER_ERROR); 192 # if (zip_crc32($data) != $crc32) 193 $zcrc32 = zip_crc32($data); 194 195 if ($zcrc32 < 0) { 196 $zcrc32 += 4294967296; 197 } 198 199 if ($zcrc32 != $crc32) 200 trigger_error("CRC32 mismatch: calculated=$zcrc32, expected=$crc32 ", E_USER_ERROR); 201 return $data; 202 } the zip file uploaded and imported just fine. Well, it stopped importing anything past the first version of a page (not what I wanted) but I've been fighting with that particular problem for *years* with phpwiki. I worked around the CRC issue at least. hth, -- Bob |
