I have been using PHPWiki 1.3.12p3.
Some of the GDBM pages seem to have corrupted. When I load those
particular pages, I get nothing but a blank page. I don't know where to
search for error logs, but I'm not seeing any in the http logs, or syslog.
A related symptom is that RecentChanges and FindPage no longer work
-- but direct reference access to (most) pages does work.
I've seen some reference to using testgdbm (from gnu gdbm-1.8.3) to scan
for and fix errors, but when I run the tools against the file, it shows
zero DB entries. I'm not sure I'm using the right tool.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve.

I've finished now most of the fixes for 1.3.13. My plan is to bring out a release candidate at the end of this week, (Dec 9) and the final week after. (Dec 16) My own big phpwiki project goes online at about the same date and I want to go to holidays at about Dec 21. This was/is the TODO list for 1.3.13 (now also in CVS) * bring 1.3.x to sf.net again. request loops, proxy issues? TODO for 1.3.13: * fix postgresql WARNING: there is no transaction in progress (done) * format=printable (not terribly important) * WatchPage, WatchList or back out Watch from Monobook * finish ModeratedPages (hmm...) * FileInfoPlugin (done) * add Help: and Relation: interwiki map entries. (done) * via upgrade also * add Help/ prefix to all documention pages, via upgrade also. (done) Open issues: - #1569424 Is Oracle ok now with ADODB? I believe pear db is too broken. Just the Oracle specific to_date workaround is required. - #1570577 "Wikiwyg wrong charset" Convenience All new bugs (from August) by Matt Brown (debian). Matt, do you want to cvs write access to fix these by your own? This would be much faster. -- Reini Urban http://phpwiki.org/ http://murbreak.at/ http://helsinki.at/ http://spacemovie.mur.at/ |

<twi...@li...>Hi phpwiki-ers, I'm starting a consumer web startup that's going to build a lot of really interesting features on top of an existing wiki platform (phpwiki is one of the five we've narrowed it down to) and we're looking for a superstar developer with wiki experience to join the team. *We are a company:* Who wants to use the power of Wiki to solve a big problem for consumers. Part of our vision involves extending the functionality of one of the major wiki platforms with innovative features that pose exciting technical challenges. Be one of the first people to join a consumer web startup which could put a lot of large companies out of business. *You are someone who:* - Is *scary smart* and someone we can *trust* will find the *right answers* to hard problems you may have never solved before. - Is *technically brilliant*, *versatile*, and* creative*. - Your * teammates* love working with. If you also want to lead this team, that's in the cards, if you show us you can. *We will:* - Be a group of the smartest, most trustworthy, passionate, and interesting people you know. - Make sure you have what you need to be happy and productive. - Compensate you with a flexible mixture of cash and equity. - Make great teammates united around a vision of how to solve some pretty important problems for people. Reini-- thanks. I am going to update my other thread. With C.J's help I've also been able to get Oracle 10.2.0.2 DB running as the backend, using phpwiki-1.3.12p3.tar with several hacks to certain files, and Zend Core as the PHP ennviroment. Hi, I recently installed PHP Wiki version 1.2.10 (the version that the control panel on my hosting package gave me). It's working fine, but I'm finding I can't get to the admin pages... Clicking on the link to http://mywiki/admin.php brings up a Login box, but even if I put in the correct admin user and password details, it returns me back to that box. I've done a little digging and investigation, and it seems that the PHP_AUTH_USER and PHP_AUTH_PW variables aren't available. This is probably related to registerglobals being off in the PHP installation... but the ones that should replace those, $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW'], aren't available either. I've asked my site's admins to look into it, but anyone here have any ideas what I should ask them to look for? Thanks Phil |

Reini- thanks -it worked as posted above. I also want to downsize the page / topic title title (in blue, also serves as a backlink) on each page- since it is rather big. I am adjusting the backlink css properties, but that is not working. I see it's also using <h1></h1> for the header which is making it very large, but not sure where to adjust that...thanks for your help. Reini -- Thanks that worked!!
I added in font size to the body tag in the file you mentioned, restarted
apache,
and it worked..this will be great. I checked out the smaller theme but I
still like
the MacOSX theme better (but with smaller text, so less scrolling).
$ pwd
/usr/local/Zend/apache2/htdocs/wiki/themes/MacOSX
$ diff MacOSX.css.bak MacOSX.css
body { }

This issue appears to be caused by a change in php or mysql at Jaguarpc.com, my server. None of the phpwiki source files appear to have changed. Nevertheless, this may be an issue that has to be addressed. And it is related to the issue that [Links with spaces] don't work on a html dump on Windows. Hi, Tim. Yes, the original issue was that [Links with spaces] are suddenly having problems. And yes, it's easy to see that %2520 means %20, which means a space. But this doesn't fix the issue that suddenly arose with my wiki, namely, that all my pages named with spaces are now inaccessible. To reiterate, there is no longer any way to access the page that used to be called http://hawsedc.com/thomas/Spiritual%20Nuggets Perhaps on a page-by-page basis there is a way I could modify the page names in the database so the wiki will bring up the pages. I would be willing to do that, but I would want a way to execute an SQL query to change not only the page names, but any links to them in page content. That's easy... %20 is a space, and %25 is presumably a % sign. My tip, use underscores instead of spaces in names. Sure it's not a fix, but it prevents this happening. I have downloaded and installed most recent versions of phpwiki and php on windows under Apache but I am not sure how to exactly configure things. I have done as much as I could but at this point I get an empty page when going to index.php under my wiki installation. Could somebody let me know what exactly needs to be done under Windows? Thanks, -- Jalil |

Here are some more clues. Note the progressive corruption of the page title: 1. Every [Page with spaces] is empty and its title looks something like this: Non-violence%20and%20non-possession 2. If you click on the title for BackLinks, the page name is further corrupted like this: Non-violence%2520and%2520non-possession The contents of all pages are searched to find links to the current page. The BackLinks function also answers the question: "Which pages contain the title of this page?". ________________________________ No other page links to Non-violence%2520and%2520non-possession yet. ---- Weird, huh? Any ideas? Tom |

Not only empty. They say they were never edited. How can this be? Hi, We are using phpwiki-1.3.12p3 inside our company (with mysql until I get Oracle working as the db). I chose phpwiki over other Wikis because of the MacOSX theme. We are wondering how to make the font size smaller. Particularly when you combine it with the Rich Table plugin, it seems you have to scroll a lot, and I notice and I've found myself making my entries smaller for each topic, so that the information can be seen without scrolling. I know that people can adjust the font size in their browser, but what's the best way to adjust it in the program itself? Create a theme called MacOSX2 copying everything, and then start playing with the specified font sizes in the CSS files, but perhaps there is a better way? The most critical is the size of the text in the body of the page-- I am not nearly as worried about the text associated with the buttons. Slighty reducing the size of the page title may also help. In any case, if someone could advise on how to do this most efficiently that would be great. I did search all of the phpwiki forums on sourceforce.net and did not come up with any thing. Thanks, Marvin Hecht. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Adjusting-font-size-in-phpwiki-with-the-MacOSX-theme--tf2579777.html#a7191753 Sent from the phpwiki-talk mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Ok. That's what I've done.

Thank you for your help.
