Greetings, I have been working on some bugs to try to get phpwebsite ready for a 0.9.1 stable release. However, some significant changes were made in pagemaster and menu manager. People testing on campus were able to do some things that we never thought of (create blank links, delete the page while leaving the menu link, I could go on). So I did some things to try to prevent breakage. What I really need is testing on PageMaster and Menu. Please, please test making pages, assigning them to the menu, deleting pages, deleting menu links, making offsite menu links, basically anything and everything you would do in each program. If I hear that all is well from a significant portion of developers, we can head towards 0.9.1 stable. Until that time however, I will expect to be putting out RC2 instead. That might be the thing to do anyway... Thanks a bunch, Matt |

When I tried this with Mozilla 1.3 it worked fine, but with IE 6 the javascript popup window does not even open. I tried it with every theme. I used to be a postgres junkie so I'll regress and try to help out as well when I can find some free time. Follow-up: Perhaps the theme forgot to include the EDIT tag. If you are using the php_net theme I believe this was the case. Get the new version from CVS. Otherwise the "Default" theme should be safe. Don. I noticed the followings : ----------------------- With "Submit News" ----------------------- Can't post an announcement when not logged in as a user or admin ----------------------- Email Field ----------------------- There is an email field missing when you wish submit an announcement When the admin will approve the submitted announcement, would be nice if the submitter could receives an automatic email notice. You do have an email field when submitting a Weblink ----------------------- Approval List ----------------------- When you go check the submitted list of announcements, you have no direct link to check the anouncement before posting it ? Samething for WebLinks ----------------------- Instant EDIT Option ----------------------- When you are logged as admin and browsing the main page, you have an "Edit" option for the main content but not for the announcement(s) Regards, Yves Malouin http://www.malouin.qc.ca |

Hello everybody I do not think that the date and time tags in the template should be done in the suggested way, because different countries, have different ways in presenting the date. And there is alse the problem about showing the 24 hour clock or the 12 our clock, and what if the person making the layout, want a special way. The way I have done it, was taking all the different date possibilities in the php date function, and put them in the Layout class file like this: $THEME["MONTH_NUM_LONG"] = date("m"); $THEME["MONTH_NUM_SHORT"] = date("n"); $THEME["MONTH_DAY_LONG"] = date("d"); $THEME["MONTH_DAY_SHORT"] = date("j"); $THEME["MONTH_NAME_LONG"] = $_SESSION["translate"]->it(date("F")); $THEME["MONTH_NAME_SHORT"] = $_SESSION["translate"]->it(date("M")); $THEME["WEEKDAY_LONG"] = $_SESSION["translate"]->it(date("l")); $THEME["WEEKDAY_SHORT"] = $_SESSION["translate"]->it(date("D")); $THEME["YEAR_LONG"] = date("Y"); $THEME["YEAR_SHORT"] = date("y"); $THEME["SWATCH_TIME"] = date("B"); $THEME["HOUR_24_LONG"] = date("H"); $THEME["HOUR_24_SHORT"] = date("G"); $THEME["HOUR_12_LONG"] = date("h"); $THEME["HOUR_12_SHORT"] = date("g"); $THEME["HOUR_12_FIX"] = $_SESSION["translate"]->it(date("a")); // Probably needs another name $THEME["MINUTE"] = date("i"); $THEME["SECOND"] = date("s"); As you can see, I have also made the appropiate midifications in the english language files. mvh Martin Hjort Eriksen ------------------------------------ Studenterrådet, Roskilde Universitetscenter ------------------------------------ Hulgårdsvej 143, 2. tv 2400 København NV +45 26 80 21 29 ------------------------------------ |

Oh. I overlooked the fact the the displayTheme would include an "extra" file which I have total control over. I thought displayTheme was defining those $template[] vars. I dig it now. Don. Sounds good to me. Where is myPictureFunction() to be defined? Don. > Having the current date and time was brought up by someone else to me. > Mike Windsor I believe. Definitely would be nice. How about if the displayTheme function included a preset file. file: extra.php (name unimportant) <?php $template["DATE"] = date("Ymd"); $template["TIME"] = date("g:ia"); $template["RANDOM_PIC"] = myPictureFunction(); ?> The template would be passed to the theme and all the admin would need to do is create the appropiate {DATE} {RANDOM_PIC} tags. That way, the class would never have to change, people could create quick and dirty php scripts to print in on their site. What do you think?
