phpwsBB is a native bulletin board module for the phpWebSite content manage system, version 0.9.2 or later. phpwsBB-0.3.1 fixes the most obvious problem of anonymous/guest posters not having their name show up in the thread list. Site admins can use the PHPWSBB_MAN_OP=update_all_threads to run the function that will update all threads to grab the guestname if the thread owner is blank. I definitely recommend doing this, but strongly recommend backing up your data first in case I missed something. http://phpwsbb.sourceforge.net |

Finally got around to getting this working with the basic features that I want. It's not really a provisioning system, not yet anyway. Right now it just takes in some info and tracks status, priority, resolution. Sort of like a low-class version of the sf.net tracker system. Anyway if you have spare cycles feel free to download and try it out and post some RFEs if you have any ideas. Requires phpWebSite 0.9.3. http://phpwsprov.sourceforge.net Thanks, Don. |

I know I know this isn't the right place to ask but I'm desperate, I usually get answer here quick, AND you guys definitely use CVS a lot so heres my question... I just started a CVS document server on my network runnong on a red hat linux box and I believe pserver is enabled. Now all I need is a gui for all the operating system on my network and can't find one on mac / windows (haven't searched for linux) that just works right out of the box so what do you guys use on your Mac OS X, Windows 2000, and Red Hat Linux OS for a graphical client to the CVS Reprository? Thanks! |

You can wget directly from one of the sourceforge mirrors. http://twtelecom.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/phpwebsite/phpwebsite-0.9.3-full.tar.gz Replace "twtelecom" with "easynews" or "umn" or whatever mirror you prefer. Hello! I have built a spam-proof mailto module using the skeleton, and have gotten the database section working using the EZform example in the skeleton. I am now trying to write the actual mailto form. I believe I have done everything correctly, but I am presented with a blank screen when I run the script. I'm at my wit's end. Are there any developers who could find it in their heart to take a look at my code /class/Mailto.php and see what it might be that I have missed? I would really appreciate it. A current tarball can be found at: http://www.bsacjc.org/mod/mailto.tar Thanks, -Tony -- Keep your own cigar diary online. http://www.cigardiary.com List your humidor contents privately online. Am I right that the use of default_pop.tpl template files will be going = away in future releases? Should module developers not rely on = default_pop but instead always use default_box? =20 If I develop a theme with a defaults directory can I get away with = setting default.php to:=20 <?php $default_box =3D "default.tpl"; $default_pop =3D "default.tpl"; ?> deafult.tpl being used in both cases. |

Hi folks, Wget is very wonderful to get the phpws-script fast onto my servers. FACT: The installing procedure writes conf/CONFIG.PHP, images/SUBDIRS, files/SUBDIRS with apache-rights or sth. like this to my server. e.g. uid 99, group nobody, permission 600 (little different on each server) I don't have root-rights. PROBLEM: So it causes problems after setup, the SUBDIRS will not be installed - it's handworked later(That can be handled by NONROOT....sh) But worse, if I want to tar my Dirs for Backup. The Tar-file misses the Dirs&Files with apache-rights. So I have to handwork a lot after unzipping the tar-file on another server to get all missed dirs/files onto it. Til now that's the only script that makes this kind of problems using a scriptrelated installer/filemanager. QUESTION: How can I backup my complete Dir without missing otherpermission-files or without handwork after this? Is there a possibility to tell the script the uid/gid for filehandling etc. on server? - Sorry for my bad english - EO |

OK. Try this. This is off the top of my head & I haven't tested it myself, so let me know if it works. I modified these Article Manager templates using techniques found at http://www.alistapart.com/stories/practicalcss/ . They should work for PageMaster as well. Make 2 templates: Blank Space.tpl: <div style="clear: both;"> <br /> </div> Image Only - Float Left.tpl: <div style="float : left; margin-bottom : .5em; margin-right : 1em"> {IMAGE} <div class="smalltext" align="center">{TEXT}</div> </div> save them to the templates directory. In the page you want to put these images into, make a section & assign Blank Space.tpl to it. Then create as many sections with Image Only - Float Left.tpl as you want and assign an image to each of them. Remember when you create these sections that you have to enter something in either the section title or text field or the section won't save (I'll change that in my next version). It doesn't matter what you enter in the section title-- the template won't show it. Place a Blank Space.tpl section at the end of the images if you're going to include text sections after them. -eloi- ----- Original Message ----- From: "CPTEOS" <cp...@ne...> To: "phpwebsite-developers" <php...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2003 4:42 PM Subject: Re: [Phpwebsite-developers] Pagemaster More images in a single section > Thanks for comments. 1)+2) I used already (In tis way that would be no > developer question I think) > > But it would be more comfortable to design a .tpl using {image1} ... > {imageN}- Same would be nice for {Content 1 ..n}. Two ways. You can either: 1) Use more than 1 section with no text, just images. You may have to edit or create new templates that don't have the hard linebreaks at the end of them or use <div> blocks to properly place & wrap the display, or 2) alter conf/textsettings.php to allow the <img> tag to be used and code the image links in yourself. Personally, I'd go with #1, because with #2 you'd have to deal with where to place the images and find & update the links in you ever change your site directory structure. Also, if you enable <img> tags, then all other contributors to your site can use them too. You may not want that. -eloi- |
