The "SAPI: cgi" will cause login to fail. For logins to have ever worked this had to have changed. Hello everyone. I have a stable version of phpESP that has been running happily for almost two years. Last week something seems to have happened in that when you go to the admin/management URL and it asks for the password, I give the password and then it immediately prompts me again. I can't get into the admin interface. A few notes: pspESP: 1.6.1 PHP: 4.3.10 mySQL: 4.0.10 As far as I know there were no changes to the server. I read about the mySQL 4.1 password length hash problem but figured that it did not apply to me given that I am running an older version. Here is the strange thing, I am running two instances (/survey1 and /survey2) that connect to two different mySQL databases on the same server, and they both had the admin login failure at the same time. But a third instance on a separate but identically configured server is working fine. I am also able to check on the databases and they are running, and it appears that people can still access and respond to public surveys. Any thoughts on what I should be doing to troubleshoot would be much appreciated. Thanks, --chris /////\\\\\/////\\\\\ Christopher G. Hi All, I have a problem with setting my surveys private with phpesp (latest stable version): 1. I have created several studies 2. All belong to different persons from the 'auto' group 3. Respondents groups have been defined When I try to assign a group to a private survey, it works fine for the first survey. Then, the choice for that respondent group disappears from the dropdown choices when I want to assign groups to another study. Isn't it possible to assign the same group to two different studies ? How can you do so ? Help would be greatly appreciated !! Thanks ! Gael. |

(All SQL statements below can be run from the MySQL monitor.) Use SELECT COUNT(*) FROM respondent; to find the number of records in the respondent table. To delete a specific record, use the DELETE SQL statement. DELETE FROM respondent WHERE username LIKE 'Sally'; To delete multiple records, use the LIKE wildcard operator '%' DELETE FROM respondent WHERE username LIKE 'Sa%'; This statement will delete all records where the username starts with 'Sa', such as 'Sam', 'Sally', 'Sarah', 'Samantha', etc. Before you use the DELETE statement, it's best to count how many records will be deleted. Use the SELECT COUNT(*) statement as above, but with a WHERE clause. SELECT COUNT(*) FROM respondent WHERE username LIKE 'Sa%'; +----------+ | count(*) | +----------+ | 437 | +----------+ 437 rows in set (0.00 sec) then use the DELETE statement DELETE FROM respondent WHERE username LIKE 'Sa%'; If you really, really want to delete all records in the respondent table just leave off the WHERE clause. DELETE FROM respondent; I haven't looked through the entire code, but it looks like you can delete respondents without risking failure with a survey. Test on a separate database if possible. Hope this helps, Jim B. |

Hi all, Does anyone know how to delete all the respondents that have been entered in the database (without resetting all of it)? That would save me hundreds and hundreds of clicks. Thanks! Gael. |

This package is awsome. It is the perfect tool if you need to set up many evaluations like I do (110). It works really great !! Thanks Jim !! Gael. Hello! I'm using phpESP version 1.7.2 and have a minor problem: I have created a user (designer) to create a first survey. The (public) survey works and I wanted to let some people view the results. Because the results are not available for the public (and they shouldn't be, so I don't use that 'public-results hack' ) my idea was to create a second user that belongs to the same group (of designers). But this user cannot view the results. Is this a bug, or a feature, or did I miss something (like a flag that gives permissions to view results to the whole group?). Hi All, I've developed a method of rapid prototyping surveys with phpESP using delimited text files and a perl script. I haven't finished all the markup, but you can see them here: Article: http://sixshooter.v6.thrupoint.net/phpESP_proto/README.txt Perl script: http://sixshooter.v6.thrupoint.net/phpESP_proto/phpespmod.pl.txt Modified mysql_populate.sql script: http://sixshooter.v6.thrupoint.net/phpESP_proto/mysql_populate.sql.txt Sample input file: http://sixshooter.v6.thrupoint.net/phpESP_proto/input.txt Sample SQL output: http://sixshooter.v6.thrupoint.net/phpESP_proto/sql.out.txt Enjoy, Jim B. |

You seem to have a problem similar to the one I had when trying to=20 install phpESP on my internet provider server: The session counter=20 doesen't increment in your test.php. For me the reason was that my provider doesn't allow you to store the=20 session info in the msyql base, but I was allowed to store it on my=20 server in a folder I had to call "sessions". Check with your provider,=20 it may be something like that for you too... Hope it helps. Gael. Matthew Gregg a =E9crit : > Version of ESP?
