I have just installed the phpESP 1.7.5-rc1 under PHP Version 4.3.2, and about 50% of the time when I click on a link or button I get the following error: HTTP 503 Service Unavailable [ Connection to database failed. Please check configuration. ] [ 1045: Access denied for user: 'phpesp@localhost' (Using password: YES) ] If I then start hitting the browser's refresh button, I will usually be taken the the page I was trying to go to. Sometimes I have to hit refresh up for times before I will move past the 503 error. This is a new Red Hat system, so maybe I don't have things quite configured correctly, but the thing that gets me is the intermittent nature of this problem. FWIW, I have phpmyadmin installed and it is working properly. Below is the DEBUG info with some sensitive info replaced by comments in curly {braces} : Thanks for your help. You have to change the "home" acl setting by editing line 229 in espauth-default.inc. Using the download option is probably a better solution. Yes it's possible. The option is available under the "Change Access To a Survey" pages. Hi, How do I change the export directory to somewhere that I can access it? I'm using version 1.7.5 thanks Steve |

Hi, Is it possible to resume a survey from the last completed question after having saved the survey. This is, of course, on a private survey with respondents logging in. Great app BTW.... thanks Steve |

I.e. 2-6 instead of 1-5. Unable to reproduce with demo site (no email sent) but here is survey where I tried anyway: http://phpesp.sourceforge.net/demo/public/survey.php?name=jfulton2 jf...@ru... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Matthew Gregg (greggmc) Date: 2005-06-01 11:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=14116 Pre 1.7 releases produced rate scale x-1, with -1 being N/A. This was reworked in 1.7+ and email results could have been over looked. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Craig Sturman (crenfax) Date: 2005-06-01 11:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=762642 Hrrrmm, funny. I run a survey with ratings from 1 to 10 and it lists one less (ie. 0-9) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Craig Sturman (crenfax) Date: 2005-05-09 14:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=762642 I ran into this issue as well and filed a bug report a month or 2 ago. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Paolo Brocco (pbworks) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: activate - deactivate - reactivate Initial Comment: it should be possible to activate a survey, deactivate it, eventually edit it, and reactivate it again. now it's only possible to actrivate it, end it, no way to reactivate it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Paolo Brocco (pbworks) Date: 2005-05-25 19:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=892227 Well at least it should be possible to edit the question text. I don't mean to you add new answers. It should be possible to correct typos that you did in writing the question... In example you write "What is your fist name". ...you activate the survey and then you realize that "fist" should be "first". Yes with phpmyadmin you can enter and manually edit it, but it's not user friendly at all... you see what i mean... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2005-05-25 19:23 Message: Logged In: NO I agree with the deactivating and reactivating, but once surveys are deployed they should not ever be editable again. Changes to the survey structure at the least give you inaccurate, untrackable results, and at the worst create database ambiguities that are numerous and difficult to handle in a general fashion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=358956&aid=1164757&group_id=8956 |

Category: survey format Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Passing Variables to Thank You Page? Initial Comment: It would be nice to be able to pass form variables (survey repsonses) to the thank you page. e.g. thankyou.php?fname=aaa&lname=bbb That way you can personally thank each person by name for filling out the survey, or pass some information to another program (targeted ads?)
